Happy New Year to all padsters ,,,, even Dan Bear !!
January 8, 2015 at 16:32 #10646bears had better hope this sells off later , or new highs coming….pronto.
flat at present as missed my long entry a few days back …..might well wait until we see new highs into the 21xx’s….
January 8, 2015 at 16:50 #10647Ftse short at 6562 … willing to use the profits from
that trade I had at the start of the year, fwiw. This rally could have got it’s fuel from short stops
after the gap up and go type action. These sharpish rallies are not just bull markets events
as they are a feature of bear markets aswell. Hence we
are told nothing re the trend, imho.Never give up, never surrender.
January 8, 2015 at 16:57 #10648Yeh it does look like new highs on the way Baaa. Lets see. Play it day by day….
January 8, 2015 at 16:59 #10649Yes Cimac,
mad rallies happen in bear markets. Remember many in 2000. I think nasdaq rallied 13% low to high on one day for example. Ended up down 50% on the year though.
January 8, 2015 at 17:03 #10651Happy new year Scoobs!… U still trading?..
January 8, 2015 at 17:03 #10652Maybe we are going back up to start of year prices
for those lazy **** who were away on holiday 🙂Never give up, never surrender.
January 8, 2015 at 17:16 #10653Yes Gekko mate …. hope u r well  🙂
January 8, 2015 at 17:41 #10654that’s a lot of points very quickly, that drip feeding into my short term pension fund has all just sold, I think Im gonna start dripping it short now for a slight potential fall back…
January 8, 2015 at 17:42 #10655That’s the expected wed & thur Ftse rally and I still think
it will be hardest for the bulls to close up on friday.Never give up, never surrender.
January 8, 2015 at 17:51 #10656one characteristic of the last few years has been the lack of any backing & filling . up is up , down is down and it’s pretty much a straight line either way ( well mostly one way)
above 2063/5 , then I think we easily see 2130 , maybe much more before a decent correction.
January 8, 2015 at 18:24 #10657Well stops are ever more vital atm.
As baaa points out we could take that up train and I doubt
there would be much resistance. My stop is b/e on my Ftse short and althougn I favour the
downside, I would rather be wrong and keep my shirt
than be right and have it taken off my back 😉Never give up, never surrender.
January 8, 2015 at 18:37 #10659Yes looking at a few charts the ‘problem’ we face is that the next
move is a bigun as it will either breakout bull or bear and every
neutral trader will want to jump onboard.Atm I will not have trades running overnight or weekends as it
is too great a risk that sensible stops will be jumped over.Never give up, never surrender.
January 8, 2015 at 18:48 #10662Atm I will not have trades running overnight or weekends as it is too great a risk that sensible stops will be jumped over.
Amen to that !! I have been whipped out a few times only to then watch it go where I wanted, Sod’s law, that’s is why I am playing this all through pension ATM instead of spreads as not to carry the whips and it doesn’t matter quite so much.
January 8, 2015 at 19:24 #10663European stocks surged to close almost 3 percent higher after European Central Bank President Mario Draghi reiterated on Thursday that the central bank was ready to start “full-blown” quantitative easing.
In a letter made public, Draghi said the Governing Council would closely monitor the “risks to the outlook for price developments over the medium term”.
