Just two notes before my car arrives to take me on holiday.
Ftse 2007 vs 2014 just for the period we are in now, is a
fair match using the broad brush we sometimes need
when we are looking at a possible new guide line.My girlfriend has just opened a Dow short for what maybe
her only trade into 2015. I don’t have that exact trade
but it was on a 4-1 ratio of profit to loss and the
entry was something like …Short 18030 stop 19975 limit 10250
Never give up, never surrender.
January 2, 2015 at 09:12 #10458I left instructions to test my 2007-2014 (or we should now
say 2008-2015) theory and have just been informed
that I have a small Ftse short 6607Back at my desk on monday.
Never give up, never surrender.
January 2, 2015 at 16:15 #10462Just been told my trailing stop took me out at +50pts
so it must have been a roll-a-coaster on the Ftse.Oh well that’s it till monday.
Never give up, never surrender.
January 4, 2015 at 21:10 #10468My prediction for the Ftse in 2015
Timing of cits looks like we make a ‘L’ in January
and then a ‘H’ in May then another ‘L’ in October.Price is harder but we hit the 6600 zone on 1st
and I am not looking for a huge drop in January
or a huge rally into May. I feel the best money
is to be made on the drop into October.Never give up, never surrender.
January 4, 2015 at 23:01 #10469ur werent far wrong last couple of yrs cim. we will re visit ur call,
i am mildly bullish no other call i can make i’m afraid
January 4, 2015 at 23:36 #1047350-70% tank in spoos as US sovereign debt crisis kicks off. Fed Reserve declared insolvent. Gold returns to the world money standard in some form (backing of sdr’s).
I can’t wait another year. Lol.
I think they’ll simply announce a gold revaluation one day and that’ll be that. If you read ‘The Death of Money’ then gold would need to be equiv 9000 dollars to 50% back current major fiat currencies. 100% is 18,000 dollars. Could be some deflation first as everything is sold to raise funds but then boom inflation city.
I think North Korea hack claims are nonsense and being used as an excuse for a potential war. I suspect The Yanks hacked themselves as it were. They need a ‘cover’ for the upcoming crisis – is NK the cover? I expect further hacks and further blame to wrongly be laid at NK’s door.
Putin will poke Obama on facebook.
Happy New Year! Lol 🙂
January 5, 2015 at 08:19 #10474For Ftse traders (using 6600 as our nominal start point)
be aware that some are calling for a low mon or tue in
line with the full moon today, then a good rally. This should be the first test of my prediction as I do
not see much of a move above 6600 until the May ‘H’.With stops moved the risk is under control and if my
call is wrong then so be it, market is always right.Never give up, never surrender.
January 5, 2015 at 13:41 #10477Ftse shorters had sub 6500 on tap for a nice profit
and take it or trail it this trade from 6600 can’t be
a loser which is the first target. I will play this
all year my own way taking profits reentries
trail stops etc etc as you would expect.Never give up, never surrender.
January 5, 2015 at 15:03 #10479Unless you use small trades or are using someone else’s
money, I would not trade around the next EcB meeting
later this month as the qe issue will be in focus.Avoid the vote in Greece as that will likely cause euro
and stocks to move in an unpredictable way.Never give up, never surrender.
January 5, 2015 at 15:44 #10480Zerohedge reckons The United Arab Emirates are behind the bombing of the Greek oil tanker in a Libyan port.
retaliation would see oil go back up!
January 6, 2015 at 06:51 #10518This s&p 2010/11 are was supposed to be resistance on the way up but it went through it like a knife through butter, it has proved quite stubborn yesterday also, filling the gap. It is also interesting to note the the point seemed to coincide with a trend line from the 2 major lows over the last 3 months on the daily/180 min charts, so it seems pretty significant. I wonder if it will hold or not, would be typical for kind of catalyst to spike the market from here one way or the other…. I watch with interest the market certain,y didn’t want to give it up yesterday !
January 6, 2015 at 10:01 #10519January 6, 2015 at 10:02 #10520January 6, 2015 at 17:42 #10524S&P 2007 was a target and or possible support zone for some.
We know too well the major problem with learning day trading.
Bears sell it all the way up and bulls buy it all the way down.
Never give up, never surrender.
