February is a good month for stocks except when January is
lower than December, infact when the January high is lower
than the December high or the January low is lower than
the December low …. wow wot a lot of stats. Now we have to look at each market because they are not
or have not formed a consistent pattern. Which is not
a positive sign, overall.Never give up, never surrender.
January 29, 2015 at 15:38 #11554In the US a stop run program of the dip buyers was expected
and we call the program ‘Dan’ for some reason 😉What is of greater surprise is that after that US stocks
can’t get above yesterday’s lows. So whilst they do not
two things spring to mind, waterfall and forced seller.Never give up, never surrender.
January 29, 2015 at 15:59 #11556The US bulls best hope for a pattern to retest highs is right
on the bubble atm. Best is s&p because the Dow and NAS are
a bit off which is a negative. Bottom line the low must come
within the hour and friday and monday must both be positive.Again I stress it’s a possible, unlikely scenario, which I have
no trading interest in but we are here to share all we see
and think that we see out there.Never give up, never surrender.
January 29, 2015 at 16:18 #11561the Dax is just mad – every 20 pt dip gets bought back up. On about my 20th dip trade for the day -lol .
Think this volatility is all about a few marginal sellers of US stocks reinvesting into Europe . After all , they saw the Nikkei go up 40% on QE , so it’s got to be the same right!
crude not helping either – which means the GDP tomorrow should see a +20/-20 day . take your pick which way…
January 29, 2015 at 16:21 #11562A closed my Ftse short earlier and now back in short again.
Small steady profits on the Ftse whilst the Dax and US traders
have all the fun.I’ll get me slippers on and watch TV 😉
Never give up, never surrender.
January 29, 2015 at 16:25 #11563Hi baaa
Two things.
Markets do respond to qe and we have seen that in US and Japan
and now Euroland.Recently traders were saying sell euroland and buy US but that
would have been poor advice this week.Never give up, never surrender.
January 29, 2015 at 16:50 #11565ytd Dax +9.5% ….S&P -3.0%
rotation , not selling…yet
January 29, 2015 at 18:04 #11570Well my model indicates that the US bulls will win today
but take a hit friday – monday.Never give up, never surrender.
January 29, 2015 at 18:34 #11572Gold fallen after stopping Baaa out!… Bugger!..
January 29, 2015 at 19:22 #11574Can’t wait for the time they btfd in gold lol
January 29, 2015 at 19:23 #11575Euroland ooh seems to be pricing in a late US rally.
Never give up, never surrender.
January 29, 2015 at 20:12 #11579Euroland ooh seems to be pricing in a late US rally.
Near enough for a … hooyah 🙂
Never give up, never surrender.
January 29, 2015 at 20:34 #11581Good rally stateside but I think
Dow 17500
s&p 2025(min) 2050
nas 4225were prices needed by the bulls.
Their next option is to control friday & monday
which on top of this late rally would be hard.Anyway this US action has allowed me to get a Ftse 6835 short
so it’s a good thing 😉Never give up, never surrender.
January 29, 2015 at 20:49 #11582Shorted the Dax ooh at 10821 and would be happy
just to take half of the gap to the rth close at any
time on friday.Never give up, never surrender.
January 30, 2015 at 06:58 #11591All about who controls friday and monday and the fact
its EOM and BOM makes it a bigger prize than usual.Gave the heads up re a pattern for US highs retest
and it will either make it of go splat.Never give up, never surrender.
