There are a lot of gold longs atm both large and small traders.
Never give up, never surrender.
January 26, 2015 at 17:51 #11444The EU has made clear that it will not write off any more Greek debt. Doing so would, it fears, encourage other struggling Eurozone states to default, and so cause the project to unravel. But Syriza, the party that won yesterday’s general election, is equally uncompromising. Its leader, the telegenic Alexis Tsipras, tells voters that he will cancel the austerity and repayment programme ‘on my first day in office’.

I am in no rush with gold or silver longs. They are for dow gold ratio near to one trade. 🙂 some even think the ratio will be 0.5. ie. Gold in dollar terms will be double the points of the dow. Who knows what levels that may mean….Dow 7000, gold 14000?
the other interesting ratio in all this is gold silver ratio which is about 72 at the moment. Historically it has spent quite a bit of time in the 10-15 range. Thus, in theory silver will make a better return than gold if those ratios return.
January 26, 2015 at 18:31 #11446After the earlier bounce, shorting the euro is popular again.
Never give up, never surrender.

January 26, 2015 at 18:36 #11448Ftse upto 6875 in ooh.
Open a small short thinking that if it does break 6900,
I will just hold until we retest 6000 or even 3500 🙂Never give up, never surrender.

January 27, 2015 at 00:30 #11460Pop n drop? I am expecting some volatility with Greece in the minds of traders, let alone all the other nonsense in the world….
January 27, 2015 at 07:07 #11461Ftse gap up indicated by ooh and after that I would
prefer a drop and a down close.
Dax and US majors may well do the same.
Then we get ready for FMOC on wednesday.Never give up, never surrender.
January 27, 2015 at 07:56 #11462Greece looks to reduce it’s repayments and other people in other
euroland countries will watch and maybe vote for a party which
offers them better terms for their debt ridden lives. The crack in euroland will be a major worry through 2015.
Never give up, never surrender.
January 27, 2015 at 09:30 #11463Low volume on the S&P yesterday and it’s thought
about 80% of trades were program trades.I guess these program trades are there to protect against
large moves against a funds primary positions.
Then there are the algo’s and the bots(robots) which are
likley to be involved in stop runs.I see a time when we will have an event which jumps stops
and causes hyper program trade activity which will hurt
some of the stop run programs because of multiple stop
jumps and then there will be an outcry against the bots 🙂Never give up, never surrender.
January 27, 2015 at 10:18 #11465Ftse upto 6875 in ooh.
Open a small shortTook the profit.

Never give up, never surrender.
