EcB is at 12:45 and the press conference is 13:30 all gmt.

Recently the press conference has been the market mover except
when there is some change to interest rates.

Tomorrow it would seem very odd if the qe stuff is not with
      the data given at 12:45.

      Never give up, never surrender.

        IMF’s Lagarde

‘structural reforms are absolutely needed’ re euro area.

        http://www.cnbc.com/id/102341396

The structure being reformed is curious, or am I over analysing?

Does ‘something else’ get announced tomorrow along with QE?

Markets will look at the EcB text and mark down every time
they see words or phrases like:-

          Maybe
          Could
          Would
          If
          Monitor the situation
          Stand ready
          May have to
          We will do anything

Practising my Draghi speech writing? This ain’t real…..

‘Following the actions of The IMF this morning The ECB is now working on a smooth transition to Special Drawing Rights Currency (SDR = World Money). We feel inclusion in the SDR project is critical to the future stability of the euro area. We will announce further details in a press conference on January 29th 2015. All European stock markets have been suspended until further notice, and there will be one off bank holiday period from now until and including January 29th.’

From a Ftse traders view point, euroland is vital as a trading partner.
So if the EU finances can be made more robust that is good news.

But we have a Greek election next week.
A war at the eastern border.
UK elections in May with most likely no clear winner.
Oil prices with as many problems when low as when high.
High terror alerts in most of europe.

For me EcB qe with which I have doubts about how it will
work to revive euroland, will not be able to do anything
about the complex world wide problems, which make the
              background very unstable.

              Never give up, never surrender.

Ftse has nosed above 6660 with the next possible target
circa 6680 and then 6770 and then 6902 if it wants.

We got near enough to the line drawn from Sep thro Dec highs to now
so we can call the first possible target as hit.

I have taken a small short on the Ftse to cover that target and
will have entries set for the other two. We are talking small
because it’s against my plan but I have a feeling markets
are going to upset as many plans as possible.

                Never give up, never surrender.

Algo driven stop runs are as regular as New York subway trains atm.

Stop moved to b/e on Ftse short.
Most likely get taken before EcB but it will have done
it’s job covering a drop before hand.

Ftse out of channel top so 6770 is next possible target.

ECB said to propose QE of 50 Billion Euros a month through 2016.

I don’t know who said it but it’s on the wires.

perhaps the people investigating FIFA would like to look at how the ECB news has leaked . oops I forgot , there no such thing as insider knowledge…..

spx knocked on the door of 2029 again …if it does again , it won’t stop there
