I am wondering what they’ll do Thursday. Perhaps they do nothing, since The Germans, and most powerful EU voice, aren’t keen on QE. Maybe buy the rumour, sell the fact trading wise? If they do do nothing the euro will bounce back v the dollar.

I see Russia said it would buy Greek produce if it left the eurozone. The Russians banned agricultural imports from Europe in retaliation for sanctions imposed on it by The West.

I am not sure we have heard the last of the Swiss Franc circus
and as weekends are a good time for crisis meetings, let’s see
if any others have lost their shirts.

On friday with the Dax highs and Ftse and US markets in what
looked like retraces, I did wonder if the market will try and
catch traders off guard into the EcB.

EcB qe has become a great ‘hope’ but can it alone really help
keep stock markets, around the world up, I say no.

        Never give up, never surrender.

Ftse gap up and then fill would be a good start.

Even more so for the Dax !

Worked well enough on the Ftse but the Dax was a beaut.
                Even without the complete fills.
                Taken the money.

Took that Ftse profit just in time.

Well as big Dave Kerwin often said ” Never let a profit get away”.

                  That’s me done today.

                        Cheers.

Not as big a drop as I thought we would get in euroland which is
more of a puzzle as US futures seem weaker.

China has moved to increase margins on trades which is likely to
have caused some forced selling by the over commited.

This continued rally in euroland shows we have to play EcB
with great care. Atm fighting in Ukraine, Greek election,
high terror alerts in europe and the poor state of the
finances in member EU countries is ignored.

Will be interesting to see US rth tuesday and if Dow can
hold 17600 and the s&p and nas equiv.

More monetary stimulus will not help the world economy return to strong growth, former Bank of England governor Mervyn King said on Monday, days before the European Central Bank is expected to decide whether to embark on a massive bond-buying programme.
