Lastnight’s rally off the FMOC minutes … it would be
good trading if a 3 way move was the result.Never give up, never surrender.
October 9, 2014 at 08:29 #8354Closed the 6534 for a nice little earner 🙂
May reenter later.
Never give up, never surrender.
October 9, 2014 at 09:08 #8357At last we are getting the other side of the qe equation
and what hatman and I talked about a lot ie there will
be no hiding place from the natural wealth distruction
of the much needed financial cleansing fire. The IMF says that now prices “in virtually all the major asset classes are simultaneously stretched”.
Volatility in financial markets is low and so is the premium that high-risk borrowers have to pay – the extra interest it costs them compared to a safer borrower.
The report says: “What is is unusual [about these developments] is that they have occurred simultaneously across broad asset classes and across countries in a way that is unprecedented.”

October 9, 2014 at 11:42 #8360Ftse has been a dream short so far today and you would
have had to want to lose money not to have made money.Ftse is below 6500 and I am flat now.
I would have thought it may flop about into BoE but
let’s wait and see.Never give up, never surrender.
October 9, 2014 at 12:11 #8362During US rth we have Fed and EcB speakers so based
on what happened yesterday we could see fireworks.Small short Cable 1.62171 as the only trade I will
have open in the US session.Never give up, never surrender.
October 9, 2014 at 12:12 #8363Short 1960.38
This movement is odd to me so wondering if something’s ‘wrong’.
Dan.
October 9, 2014 at 13:03 #8367I don’t know Dan. The US rally was all hot air so maybe
we get the reverse today. The european stock markets are in the lifeboat already so
they don’t think that Zorro of the Ecb will be turning
up later tonight. If he does it maybe with torn tights
and a bent rapier 🙂Never give up, never surrender.
October 9, 2014 at 13:19 #8371I am cautious for two reasons.
At some point I think we find an October low and then set off
for a date I have in November for a ‘h’ maybe a bigun. For quad OE the saying is the market finds a price to buy or
sell on the thursday in the week before OE.
Now I have heard this mentioned for all OE’s and if it is
thought to be so by enough traders then it will be so.Never give up, never surrender.
October 9, 2014 at 13:20 #8372closed short for 5 handles
October 9, 2014 at 13:26 #8373A report at 8:30 a.m. in Washington may show that first-time applications for jobless claims rose to 295,000 in the week ended Oct. 4 from 287,000 the prior week, according to economists surveyed by Bloomberg.
October 9, 2014 at 13:30 #8374Cheers Dan
My ‘h’ date is in December not November but the problem is
there are potential cit dates in between now and the
December date so I will take it one month at a
time and see how we go.Never give up, never surrender.
October 9, 2014 at 13:31 #8375287,000 so slightly better than forecast…slightly…
October 9, 2014 at 13:39 #8377Moved the stop on my Cable short to protect a nice
little profit so that no spiv can take it back 😉Never give up, never surrender.
October 9, 2014 at 13:43 #8379Yesterdays candle (daily) was an engulfing one, taking out the day before. Usually results in a change in trend, ie its a reversal day.
Unless today’s engulfs yesterdays – then my head would hurt…
October 9, 2014 at 14:06 #8381Looking back the last daily engulfing white candle was august 8th. Through to sep 19th it rallied 99 handles off that engulfing candle close. If that repeated points wise it would rally to 2060.
