baaa – “what you see” was very useful info and looks right now to be correct. Thanks again  🙂

Just looked at FTSE daily and lo and behold FTSE is now right on the rising trendline. However, the line is only based on two data points so may not be reliable. Will hols off the short for the moment and wait a bit longer. Thanks Rupert and baaa for bringing my attention to the detail. That’s the problem with only doing this casually as I am these days, I’m not always aware of everything that’s going on.

Just short it now Paps….. go on holiday, come back, and close it….

Yea you’re probably right but with only an hour to go until open I’ll wait and see if we get a spike. if not I’ll short it anyway.

S&P down circa 20 handles, FTSE down 60 odd points, just wondering if we get a spike up at US open which is usually the case on OE days. I’m currently flat, want an opportunity to get short.

FTSE topped out with a small overshoot of the August high. I guess it’s down for a while now. Maybe as far as cimac’s August low, which is over 300 points below the current 6120’s. Would be nice to run it all the way down but with the current volatility it’s very difficult to run positions.

not much going on ahead of tomorrows fomc descision i have wednesday/thursday as a turn point,so looking for a scary quick plunge then big bear burning rally into next week up towards 2030ish.thats the plan, but any lower than 1910 would be all bets off.

                      Thanks Harry, how ya doin?

Market seems very ‘jumpy’ or ‘nervy’.

Yes apparently the “Dodd-Frank” move, (whatever that is), has removed the MM’s from the market which is causing the nervy movements and the volatility. With the absence of MM’s there is no buffer against violent moves.

Another overnight/early morning rally followed by tankeroony. Great for trading providing you’re on the right side !!

FTSE has retraced the whole of this mornings big up move – incredible.

i dont buy this futures rally at all, think you get your gapfill then down down down! the volatility is scary to behold!

I agree with you, I don’t trust this rally either, after the shenanigans yesterday there was bound to be some kind of bounce but it doesn’t look strong overall.
