this bonus STD play unfolded.Never give up, never surrender.
September 11, 2019 at 00:17 #27776DOW: for the sake of completeness I’ve updated the minute-by-minute chart to show the last few days action and the likely STD days.
Today is ‘day 1’. Having apparently completed waves 1, 2, 3, 4 it’s possible that the Dow will spike upwards today to complete ‘5’ somewhere in the 26,900/27,000 region. Alternatively it can take the ‘leisurely route’ upwards and spend the rest of the week doing so.
Ray Merriman has a key possible reversal day Sept 10, so the spike is worth watching for.

September 11, 2019 at 23:20 #27782The Dow has exceeded the upper price targets I had in mind for this potential five wave move. There is another measurement that suggests the 27100 area, perhaps 27150.
SPX reached my lower price target for the 5th wave at 3001. The price range was/is 3001/3015.
So on the face of it these moves can be complete.
However something doesn’t feel or look right about it and I have a suspicion that the upwards move isn’t yet over and done with.
I have got one eye on my ‘bullish leading diagonal’ chart which if correct suggests a marginal new ATH (of course it might be completely wrong but I suspect not).
Also, I don’t know much about STD but as today was ‘day 1’ I was looking for a potential spike and reversal; instead it ended at the high of the day which I suspect suggests a positive trend for the current four day sequence.
Analysing the Dow minute-by-minute stuff I can see the possibility here of an ‘extended five’ that measures into the 27,375 area for the move this week and then eventually to a new high in the 27,500 area. Naturally I cannot be sure, but a price print above 27,150 (say in the low 27,200’s) would give a strong hint that the market does indeed want the 27,375 area for this part of the move.
