Data for the UK shows house prices and numbers claiming jobseekers
allowance are back at 2008 levels. All would seem good except that
house price rises are in part due to the fact that many are not
able to move on as the rules for lending are much tougher and
they are stuck in the current homes. The JSA figures show that
we have had a huge increase in the self employed. That would
reduce the headline figure but have less impact on benefits
savings as many of these self employed jobs don’t pay much.Never give up, never surrender.
September 17, 2014 at 15:46 #7664I wonder how many of the new self employed are day traders,
bin divers or selling the Big Issue. Those last two sound
quite attractive, the first sounds well dodgy πNever give up, never surrender.
September 17, 2014 at 15:53 #7665all the pending news over the next few days makes for risk , but looking to add back some shorts tonight/tomorrow morning . a d/t or maybe a marginal new high to 2014/15 would work – much above there and the shorts will probably be wrong and we see 2040 or 2070. For now ,biased short.
September 17, 2014 at 16:37 #7670Well the Dow traded in a good range today where I could
close my long and short for a combined profit. Did not
think it was worth waiting for FMOC swings.Ftse no where near to my limit short entries so I will
be watching and looking for more trading ideas later.Never give up, never surrender.
September 17, 2014 at 19:09 #7675It’s kind of beautiful when the prices move so fast π
Remember there is press conference stuff which is
likely to give atleast 30mins of reaction etc.Never give up, never surrender.
September 17, 2014 at 19:21 #7676Short Ftse at 6801 and will add as events unfold.
Never give up, never surrender.
September 17, 2014 at 19:37 #7677Short Ftse at 6801 and will add as events unfold.
My thinking atm is to run this as a semi permanent trade whilst
being able to day trade aswell due to the small trade size.Removed earlier limit orders and due to the timescale etc I would
only add at 6900 which was the original entry point that was
closed out at 6800.Never give up, never surrender.
September 17, 2014 at 20:22 #7678Brutal three wave move in the US in an up down up
sequence which atleast gave a hint to the current
short stop run.Dax 9700 Ftse 6800 could they both have a run up
to their recent 10000 and 6900 highs …. maybe
if the US markets are staying up into quad oe.That is enough fun for one day.
Never give up, never surrender.
September 18, 2014 at 07:23 #7681I think we may get more news from the EcB re ltro
which is their kind of qe. Although these guys do
baffle me with their antics, euroland markets
could use this to catch up with the US rally.Never give up, never surrender.
September 18, 2014 at 08:06 #7682Could not resist closing the Ftse 6801 short at 6785 as I am
out most of the day. If it does rise above 6800 then I would
look to phase in a new short position, see ya 2moro.Never give up, never surrender.
September 18, 2014 at 11:13 #7684Good timing cimac
glad I kept my powder dry today.
Dax was showing the way, then spx and now FTSE, which doesn’t really want to join the party with the vote going on.
if it a no vote we could see a jump up.
Spx could close above high today unless there is anything negative.
September 18, 2014 at 11:44 #7685Just got back for lunch and noticed we did see euroland
get a lift, could be EcB ltro driven, not sure.A no vote could push the Ftse to test 6850 6875 6900
and that is what I will wait for now. Also I doubt we see much downside prior to quad oe
although that hangs on where the big money is.This week could have gone better for me but I am
in profit and I could have got a real bashing as
many must have done. Overall I am πNever give up, never surrender.
September 18, 2014 at 12:25 #7686How to position for a yes vote. Well hope the Ftse closes
higher than it is now. A yes would bring about loads of
wrangles and horse trading right into spring 2016 and
the market will not like that at all.I am playing the odds and planing on a no vote which is
likely to be a rally that fades. A yes will give many
chances as the market will lurch back and forth every
time some soap box charlie spouts a load of b***s !Never give up, never surrender.
September 18, 2014 at 12:45 #7687Any idea what time the result is expected? Β I guess it could be as late as tomorrow morning by the time it’s all counted and coordinated.

Press report said it should be out 06:30 – 07:30 friday.
Never give up, never surrender.
