Lol. I will be Cimac !
Will wait for now as if spx breaks above 1996 then it’s testing the high again.
FTSE is strongest of them all and held better than SPX and DAX.
OEX maybe a new high as USA. Probably doesn’t care about the Scottish vote.
September 16, 2014 at 17:29 #7637I have taken a small short at Ftse 6812 knowing that if this
ramp up in US holds then euroland will gap up and then
I will open the other half of the Ftse short. That’s me done until euroland opens but atleast I have a
plan if it’s up or down from my Ftse entry point. Good
to have a flexible plan in these markets.Never give up, never surrender.
September 16, 2014 at 17:31 #7638No the yanks won’t care about the Scottish vote itself but they might care about the effect it has on the FTSE
September 16, 2014 at 17:40 #7639Agree with that paps. If they vote yes then I think FTSE will tank
spx only 13 points off it high now !!!
September 16, 2014 at 17:41 #7641FTSE has bounced almost 70 points from low to high. I expected a decent bounce when it failed to go below the trend line mentioned earlier but I didn’t expect 70 points. The daily candle is no linger a ‘candle’, it’s just a stick.
September 16, 2014 at 19:21 #7650US traders without stops would have be wiped out on the
up and the down since last thursday.Where that leaves quad oe projections, I have no idea.
I am in profit on the week but after two days I would
like to have hit 40% of my weekly target. Instead I
am at 16% …. onwards and upwards 😉Never give up, never surrender.
September 16, 2014 at 20:39 #7652Standing on the sidelines until next monday is not a bad plan.
Being flat and reacting to the three way move after FMOC is
another worth considering.Any trades for me will now be half size until next week.
Never give up, never surrender.
September 17, 2014 at 07:30 #7655Ftse plan remains the same, short it down to the
retest of 6000 although as Dan said, hitting it in
my prefered timeframe of 8th Oct-15th Oct is
being cast in some doubt by lack of downside.Next three days I will be shorting the rallies
taking profits and reentering.I will not give a running commentary so will
report back on monday.God bless all here.
Never give up, never surrender.
September 17, 2014 at 07:56 #7656Online bookmaker Betfair says it has already paid some
of its customers backing a “No” vote in Thursday’s
referendum on Scottish independence. <source bbc>.Interesting that the risk of a ‘yes’ vote is not really
taken seriously.Maybe we need to be aware that Ftse and Cable
could rally on friday.Never give up, never surrender.
September 17, 2014 at 09:31 #7657Sounds like a plan Cimac.
took a little punt overnight short for 1 on spx and 6 FTSE.
Oscar has this breaking up iteresting charts.
I will be shorting but waiting for now.
If they like fed and Scotland vote “No” , that could be the push up it ends to break out of the ceiling.
Will only be short lived in any case in my view. I just think we will get the chance to short from higher.
Risk of buying is too great as it has much further to fall than it does to rise !
September 17, 2014 at 10:20 #7658Billy I took the profit on the Ftse ooh short entry.
I feel like having some fun so now have a long and a
short on the Dow to try and play the FMOC moves. If I don’t like the action then the pts loss will be
about 4 if I close out at the same time. Thats all
the risk I want today.Never give up, never surrender.
September 17, 2014 at 11:13 #7659Nice one 🙂
I do like a little fun trade.
So long as it’s not a boredom trade !
September 17, 2014 at 11:18 #7660I have divided the total amount I want to be short the Ftse by four
and then set limit orders at 6825 6850 6875 6900 to get in if we
do rally higher. I have taken great care over the maths and
margin to be sure I will stay in my comfort zone even if
we blast to 7000-7200 as that would still be in the range
that I am working for the eventual drop to retest 6000.You have to be sure to do this, so don’t follow me.
Never give up, never surrender.
September 17, 2014 at 14:58 #7661You mean “Don’t try this at home” lol
