expecting a rally back to mid 1980’s , maybe a dt by early doors tomorrow , then finally a dump…
July 29, 2014 at 11:46 #6870I short FTSE 6808
July 29, 2014 at 12:24 #6871My stop was taken at b/e from the Ftse 6800 short.
I have just taken a Ftse short at 6825 and may add at 6850 6875
depending on how we climb higher, if we infact do.Not too much trading for me until FMOC is done, when we should
have a better idea. In general I think down after that.Never give up, never surrender.
July 29, 2014 at 14:45 #6872Atm the best outcome is for a trader to survive, ready to trade
with the trend. We all want that perfect trade at the start of
a new robust move but it is a myth, imho. The top traders that I have known are not bulls or bears. They
are more akin to someone buying and selling fruit. Good times,
bad times, they just trade for a profit, again and again.Never give up, never surrender.
July 29, 2014 at 15:26 #6873Just FYI
Many stock market indicators are saying we
take a dip within 15mins of this post.Never give up, never surrender.
July 29, 2014 at 16:12 #6874Just FYI
Many stock market indicators are saying we
take a dip within 15mins of this post.Worked for me 😉
Never give up, never surrender.
July 30, 2014 at 06:34 #6881Lastnight I closed the Ftse 6825 short at 6800 and will now
stand aside until after FMOC and then start opening shorts.Never give up, never surrender.
July 30, 2014 at 08:36 #6883Short Ftse 6800 as a guard against downward surprises.
If we go up then I will add at 6825 6850 6875 which
would complete my short setup.
If we go higher still then I will wait for the drop
which I expect after the FMOC fireworks.Nothing else to do now but enjoy the sunshine 🙂
Never give up, never surrender.
July 30, 2014 at 12:20 #6884German data released at 13:00
US data released at 13:30It’s the reaction we look at, not the numbers.
If the reaction is very bad then even FMOC at 19:00
is likely to be a side show.If the reaction is very good then that could well
feed the market right into FMOC.Fireworks ? Yes, I would think so.
Never give up, never surrender.
July 30, 2014 at 13:34 #6886Up 10.5 from up 4.0 on data
July 30, 2014 at 14:03 #6888Fed have painted themselves into a corner as
they should now quicken the QE reduction and
also reduce the time to rate hikes.A market that has risen on QE will be given
double hits. That’s what happens when you have a market
which is out of touch with the real world.I think the Fed will have to let US stocks
fall. Maybe try and slow the falls. This
could result in a series of waterfalls. We live in interesting times 😉
Never give up, never surrender.
July 30, 2014 at 14:34 #6889EcB will nodoubt come out with it’s QE program
but that may no be until september and would
not be strong enough to support world stocks.Enough chat for this month, time to trade.
Never give up, never surrender.
July 31, 2014 at 06:48 #6902Ftse has played with 6800 and may even have a small megaphone
pattern with the next test either 6750 or 6850.In fact from 6800 you could keep adding 50pts either side to
draw the lines that bulls or bears want to achieve. We ‘should’ go down, atleast today and maybe friday but of
late the bears have not tested the markets nerves which
is a real problem.Let’s see which side of 6800 we spend most time for the
remainder of this week.Never give up, never surrender.
July 31, 2014 at 09:59 #6907Anyone short from Ftse 6800 is on a nice earner
as we near 6750 – a price and time zone that
could also play on Dax and US ooh.Always best to trail stops, imho.
Never give up, never surrender.
July 31, 2014 at 10:21 #6909Hi Cimac
It’s been a good week so far. Rode the drop yesterday after some on Monday.
Then doubled up on new FTSE short and also spx
Currenlty +15 on Spx and +40 on FTSE.
Looking to close spx soon as closest gap is 1950 on charts.
ftse as you say, also is near that make or break point. May wait a little longer and see if it cracks.
