Ftse has tended to drop and pop. If it goes through circa 6765
then a trailing short stop will do very nice. However we know
it maybe more complex. So if we drop below my average 6800
it will be finger on trigger time to try and play drop and pop
even if the profit is small, a higher short will be worth it.Let’s see the early doors action and try and get an earner 😉
Never give up, never surrender.
July 25, 2014 at 07:47 #6842Morning Cimac
After seeing where Dow settled after close, around 50 pips below  close at 9pm, I decided to close FTSE and long Dow.
Took +3 on FTSE and Dow currently +20. Have that set to take profit at +30 which is still 20 below close  !
Oscar has a neutral stance and is looking to buy a dip or sell a rally. Seems a good plan for today. Personally I’d rather short a rally.
Im flat oil but will consider shorting any decent rally today. Also looking for a better entry point to short FTSE. Anywhere near last nights close will be a bonus.
Off to work now.
July 25, 2014 at 10:26 #6843Have a good day at work … Hatton Garden ?
Ftse did drop and pop and now we wait for US markets where the futures
indicate some sort of gap down, which could result in a drop and pop.Another thought is who will want to have trades open this weekend ?
I will maintain my Ftse short which I shuffled this morning, fwiw.
Never give up, never surrender.
July 25, 2014 at 12:05 #6844US futures for Dow s&p Nas are all below yesterday’s lod.
But ooh is not rth so just a warning of something which
would be rth short term bearish.Never give up, never surrender.
July 25, 2014 at 14:36 #6845Holding short Ftse and will see what happens into nextweek.
Early start to the weekend for me.
Never give up, never surrender.
July 25, 2014 at 14:47 #6846Free Friday albeit late. Apologies and will try and post early next week
I wrote last night before close
This actually sets up for a lovely down day tomorrow, thats if it wants to play ball. below 1980/2
Then posted this
After this Amazon reported results and reported a big loss.
Now we need a dip that is not bought back up. Thats the hard bit!
KTS DAY2 -7 Â minimum to print?
So now we have this -7 print, its all over to the downside holding and not a massive drop and pop.
Price needs to stay below 1980/2 for now.
Good luck all and well done to all of you (especially Cim) for getting discussion going here again. We can all learn by sharing and discussing. I said that 10 years ago when Khalsa’s Pad started and still say it today.
Plan your trade, trade your plan!
July 25, 2014 at 16:29 #6851Give us a K Give us a T Give us an S What do we get? We get a KTS! Yeehaa. Now if we can get a Friday down, we can then get a Monday down.
Closest gap is now 1967
and then 1954 which is that mustard 1950/3/5 area of support
This ties in too with 1965 ish support on SPX. SO now its up to dipsters to try and do what they always do. If they fail, we know we got a lot lower to go and bulls can be trapped
Plan your trade, trade your plan!
July 25, 2014 at 20:50 #6852Not much dip buying into US close, perhaps they
fear it could gap down again on monday.Have a great weekend kpaders.
Never give up, never surrender.
July 28, 2014 at 07:50 #6854An option for europe is a pop then drop then slow grind up.
Let’s trade each move, one at a time, only way to do it,
as it guards against surprises 😉Never give up, never surrender.

July 28, 2014 at 10:00 #6857Moved short stops to lock a profit on the drop.
Let the market decide where it goes and get back
in short again if required.Nothing to add now until tomorrow.
Never give up, never surrender.
July 28, 2014 at 18:49 #6861Ftse pop drop grind has given me a great day, a weeks profit
in a day after many mini trades.Next I start to think short above 6800, either via ooh into
the US close or early rth wednesday.Best to take some of both, imho.
Never give up, never surrender.

July 29, 2014 at 06:53 #6866Plan is to run my Ftse short at 6800 today
and trail the stop. Exit sometime today to
avoid trading on FMOC day.Never give up, never surrender.
July 29, 2014 at 08:49 #6867Well done Cimac. Sounds like you had a good day yesterday 🙂
I took all profits on Friday before close and have been flat since.
Saves the overnight costs. Looking for a short but waiting for a pop first. FTSE is holding well and waiting for direction before jumping in.
Oscar is away this week but has it as a down week.
