Closed as the Ftse went under 7000 as per above plan.
Now using recent profits to finance a huge stop on a
short Ftse as we are again above 7000It could be a bumpy ride into monday š
Never give up, never surrender.
October 19, 2016 at 18:50 #24200After a lot of work my only position is
small short Ftse 7030
with an eye watering stop. It’s going to get rough out there !
Never give up, never surrender.
October 20, 2016 at 15:16 #24203If the Ftse can turn 7050 from resistance into support
then something else is going on.I will hold short and wait until monday so that we have
got OE out of the way.No new trades for me until then so it looks like I will
have a three day weekend. It’s a tough life šNever give up, never surrender.
October 21, 2016 at 09:30 #24205Anybody catch that spike down on FTSE yesterday? It went down to 6920 and all the way back up in one 5 minute candle. I missed it unfortunately, I saw it 5 minutes too late. I guess it’s a good idea to have a limit order 60 or 70 points below your entry to catch spikes like that when they happen.
October 21, 2016 at 11:53 #24206Missed that one … grrr
I have a had a bit of time this morning to trade
back and forth and now my only position is a
small Ftse short at 7042Have a great weekend kpaders.
Never give up, never surrender.
October 21, 2016 at 12:08 #24207One last post before monday.
Ftse has just exceeded the 14th Oct ‘h’ and that could
be very near to completing a rising wedge.Take care as this is only one of several patterns in
play and we will not know the important one until
it is done and dusted. As we have noted before the hft algos will always go
after stops so that tends to make redundant many of
the indicators and other signals that used to work.In fact the old indicators are now a trap.
Never give up, never surrender.
October 22, 2016 at 06:45 #24214Took a small Dow short at 18146 right at the friday close.
Never give up, never surrender.
October 24, 2016 at 07:25 #24215Should rise for a Kiss Of Death …
… either for the market
… or my trades.
Never give up, never surrender.
October 24, 2016 at 09:07 #24216I have closed all my trades to rearrange the deckchairs on the Titanic.
I have divided my remaining 2016 risk into three smaller trades …
Small short Ftse 7062 stop 7160 limit 6000
Small short Ftse 7062 stop 7300 limit 5500
Small short Ftse 7062 stop 7460 limit 5000
By having three ‘initial’ stop and limit
levels I can adjust the risk. Stops will
be lowered ‘if’ we get the cit I want.No further posts required, it will either
work or I will have to start the process
again with fresh analysis in January !Never give up, never surrender.
October 24, 2016 at 10:41 #24217All stops to b/e incase US also does a pop
and drags euroland up.Never give up, never surrender.
October 24, 2016 at 14:23 #24219If you went for the trade, Ftse is below 7020 so crank
those stops down.Never give up, never surrender.
October 24, 2016 at 15:24 #24220Ftse below 7000 … it’s a winner … no further comment.
Never give up, never surrender.
October 25, 2016 at 08:28 #24221Ftse closed as stop hit at 7000
Small short Dow 18225
Never give up, never surrender.
October 25, 2016 at 11:44 #24222closed 80% of my shorts this morning. would ideally like a rally for 3-6 trading days and an opportunity to reload . one possibility is a retrace all the way back to 2160/70 , which would then set up something more interesting
will probably look to short tomorrow , maybe near the close . 2155-2160 the area, but Iām more influenced by time than price at the moment.
averaged in the low 2150’sĀ and looking for a pop n drop today and a possible low this Friday . Either we see some volatility and downside in the next 3-4 days or I’ll exit & look elsewhere .
October 25, 2016 at 14:49 #24223Small short Dow 18225
Close 18211
Small short Ftse 7055
Never give up, never surrender.
