Coronavirus has probably done all it can to get the markets down.
Its now all over to economic numbers. They sadly don’t care how many hospital beds there are or how many people die. We know that from the past.
lol J&J just announced they may have a vaccine ready by 2021. Its gyp 8% on that news.
Back to highly irrational.

March 30, 2020 at 21:43 #29475all these mental moves lately have surely blown up a lot of funds. Look at Capital One and another hedge fund or two the other week that we know of. I gotta feeling something gives somewhere that leads to new lows, but then again I would as I am the biggest mustard bear known to mankind.
We are looking at US and western countries, but what about China and everywhere else…a shock can come out of one of those.
Right, need to apply for my £10k grant, lol. Be putting it in my trading account if this mustard carries on up.
March 31, 2020 at 01:33 #29479End of month and end of quarter rebalance in US stocks. True picture on 1st April ( All Fools Day ).
According to Zerohedge, ‘balanced funds’ have to have roughly a 60/40 equity/bond split. Over the past month the equity portion has dropped considerably, so the ‘rebalance’ project involves reducing bonds and increasing equity exposure back to the 60% area. Nobody really knows when or how much this will happen (or how much money is involved) but best estimate was/is rebalancing during the last week of the month (which is probably what we are seeing) and might spill over into April.
Bear in mind that these ‘balanced fund managers’ care nothing about whether the markets go up or down – they only care about making sure their published fund objective is met.
March 31, 2020 at 01:38 #29480BRADLEY: note that the Bradley chart has a ‘low’ March 29 and a ‘rally high of sorts’ April 6, then followed by another decline into April 16. Of course this could just be complete nonsense, although April 6 possible turn point is next Monday, allowing for continued buying in the first few days of April.
March 31, 2020 at 04:41 #29481SPX daily: in a bear market ABC decline, the MACD often (but not always) rises in the B wave to touch or slightly overlap the zero line, whilst the RSI often meets resistance at or slightly above the middle line before then failing.
All the market has to do is keep trading above the 2,200 low (forming a rising or sideways B wave) and the MACD will eventually meet or cross that zero line.
This observation is not completely reliable, but happens often enough to be ‘important’.
Notice the MACD is now rising quite sharply, and if it continues this trajectory will meet the zero line in a week or two. In reality the B wave rally is usually a ‘three’ which will cause the MACD rise to slow down.

March 31, 2020 at 07:12 #29486Morning kpad.
Yes zarif odds are S3L
I wonder if the markets are looking for a higher fib retrace
with sp500 retesting 2775 zone. Will look at Dow later. For another reason I had Ftse 6000 which seems unlikely in
the current world situation.Like hatman I cannot find a solid reason to trade atm.
Never give up, never surrender.
March 31, 2020 at 08:37 #29488Whilst we try to find a count / pattern,
watch the greenback for more clues. We have the rebalance to play out.
We also have the algos / robots, aiming to move the market
by taking out trader’s stops. They will try and go for
the largest stop bundles. Not a time to be in a boat
with too many others !Never give up, never surrender.

March 31, 2020 at 11:20 #29506Morning all, futures volatility has dropped down a notch overnight, which sort of points to a choppy grind higher into month end.higher targets are 2670 are and 2730ish after if that what the crooks are after..tough to put a handle on lean.
March 31, 2020 at 12:02 #29509Its very tough with EOM and EOQ today. My bias is definitely down, but its against all the warnings of fighting the fed.
Lets see if it can stay down becuase its RTH that it seems to be just relentlessly up now with very little retraces.
Plan your trade, trade your plan!
March 31, 2020 at 12:35 #29510Ftse monday = early low late high S2L

When stocks fight the natural cycle of the

sharp adjustment.Never give up, never surrender.
March 31, 2020 at 13:21 #29511So far, so good. For now I will run yesterdays 2602 SPX short.
I banked 30 points yesterday and if I can do the same with this one today, then that’s another good target done.
Plan your trade, trade your plan!
March 31, 2020 at 13:38 #29512Well done ‘K’
I wonder if we may see big moves in rth as the window
dressing of selling stock then buying stock unfolds.Share buy backs are unlikely as companies try and
hold onto as much cash as possible. Share buy
backs were a con game to earn share price
related bonus payments.Never give up, never surrender.
March 31, 2020 at 13:44 #29513Dow futures have had a near 500pt range.
IF we get that in rth then it would look more
like window dressing sell then buy rather
than a particular trend, imhoAlso would funds that are seeking new money
want to see a weak close to EOM & EOQMany fund managers will be Desperate Dan
after such a start to 2020.Never give up, never surrender.
