Ftse bulls must get past their first test at 6870 to achieve
anything vs what the bears have done since the 2015 high.

Above 6870 it’s 6989 and above 7000 there would be some
excitement as the high’s become more realistic.

I am not inclined to ‘bet’ on any outcome and want to
see any Greek deal detail, to find out how excited
      we should be.

      Never give up, never surrender.

It’s one thing to agree a deal in Brussels but quite another
to sell that deal, let alone make it work, in Athens.

After the very bullish monday you would think the bears
could get something out of turnaround tuesday but atm
they may not even get an unch.

As far as I can tell there are still several steps left
in the Greek deal(or no deal) with the last one being
with German lawmakers on 29th-30th June !

Before even that last minute step the details need to
be agreed and then taken back to Greek lawmakers.

As per norm the markets may have got over excited.

I don’t think excitement will be on the cards when
German taxpayers or Greek public, get the details,
            whatever they are !

            Never give up, never surrender.

Greenback is starting to gain against GBP and EUR

and that itself is a nightmare for US companies prior to Q2 earnings season.

Lots of problems being stored up.

All I say is let them have their fun and then we will have ours

I think the greenback could appreciate a lot more before the game is up. Everyone jumps out of the euro into the “safety” of the U.S. dollar….

There again we are applying logic. Something out of the blue can happen and make a mockery of logic…. 🙂

If the markets continue to focus on Greek finances etc then
there is a meeting today and tomorrow which should bring
                    news of a positive nature.

Then we are into fri mon tue as the last trading days of June
when markets will do well to hold onto recent gains.

One day at a time, Ftse still has not cleared 6870 which is
our first bull target. It will soon be, do or die.

                    Never give up, never surrender.

Children in Brussels are attempting to build a fine sandcastle
but the tide is on the turn so they best hurry 😉

Well Ftse bulls and bears will both take something from todays action.

The smiles will be with traders who shorted that resistance zone.

Once again that level is a sandline, bullish above, bearish below.

                        On we go.

We assume the Greek leaders have a plan ‘a’,’b’ and ‘c’.

Would like to know how they intend the banks to open if
they go for the ‘no deal’.

Dan, that’s a good idea, turn it into a game show.

Can’t use Deal Or No Deal so maybe Default Or No Default.

The more I read the less convinced I am that there will be a deal.
Unless the creditors write off a huge chunk and lend more with
little hope of it being repaid. Or the debtor agrees terms with
no hope of being able to deliver on them.

The choice seems to be, default now or later.

                              Never give up, never surrender.

Hope someone else defaults first so they get the blame for the consequences? Thus kick can a few extra feet?

Once again traders face a known risk of news re Greece bailout.
When combined with low summer volumes and the algo’s stop
runs it does become quite a high risk, up and down.

Small trade size and goods stops or stay out.

                                  Never give up, never surrender.
