Very low interest rates, over time, could destroy pension fund and
insurance companies asset values, as they will be forced into
greater risk, in an attempt to meet their return profiles.Yet another sign that low rates are not normal 😉
Never give up, never surrender.
June 25, 2015 at 13:11 #14536The only way I can see a Greek default being avoided now is for
an extention to the current deal with various addons like
having a team from IMF visit Greece and make some
suggestions re getting the finances sorted out.A face saving exercise for this EU summit etc.
What we expected, a can kicker into 2016.
Never give up, never surrender.
June 25, 2015 at 18:20 #14538Looking at the wednesday and thursday Ftse action it seems…
Bulls have to deliver a friday hod above wed & thu.
Bears have to get below 6800 and keep it there.I suspect Greek finance will determin the outcome.
Few will want to hold trades over the weekend.Never give up, never surrender.
June 26, 2015 at 10:20 #14556I am done for the week now and will wait and

Never give up, never surrender.

June 26, 2015 at 13:28 #14560Mistakes … the difference between winners and losers.
This weekend we have an example of a ‘known’ event, so we cannot
blame chance or luck. We don’t know if there will be a Greek
deal, it’s contents or how the market will react. So we really have, a three coin toss, for those who decide that
it’s worth a punt, a bet.I don’t know a trader, who makes a living from trading, that
would even trade FMOC days, let alone this Greek circus !Trading for a profit is a lot more boring but predictable
than most newbies would imagine, imho.Never give up, never surrender.
June 26, 2015 at 13:33 #14561Re the above.
You would better buy a lotto ticket, because you could win more,
than trading such an event. The best bit is that your loss is
known. Even stops are not that good 😉Never give up, never surrender.
June 26, 2015 at 16:20 #14569Any Greek deal is an eu summit face saver. Be sure the numbers
will never add up so I will short any ‘deal’ rally, fwiw.Never give up, never surrender.
June 26, 2015 at 16:45 #14570Atm the news is limited but it looks to me that the odds of a
deal are higher than the Greek parliament voting in favour.Perfect way to enter the weekend 🙂
Never give up, never surrender.
June 27, 2015 at 09:32 #14575Referendum called in Greece….
apparently 80% like the idea of staying in the euro. Now they have to choose….
july 5th…. Another bloody deadline….
then it will be ballot rigging. Another vote in August lol.
June 27, 2015 at 11:03 #14576The vote on 5th July could overturn any agreement reached before then.
I suppose a deal of sorts is put up for voters to consider but no
money until the result of the vote is known.
Payment due to the IMF on 30th June will also have to await the vote. Not sure what markets will do next week.
Never give up, never surrender.
June 27, 2015 at 16:07 #14577Looks like it’s going a bit pear shaped…. look on Twitter…. #Greece.
