… and against the Euro there is now a ‘golden cross’ on the chart (where the 50 crosses the 200 while both are moving upwards)…

A week ago it tested the rising 50 day and also bounced.
The averages don’t seem to be as significant for SPX compared to Dow and NYA, but on these recent occasions they have certainly worked.
The 50 day has now crossed upwards through the (rising) 200 giving a bullish golden cross signal.
Still nothing on this chart that looks bearish (at the moment), and infact with it trading above the moving averages and now the golden cross this is still a bullish chart (until something happens to suggest otherwise).

It all seems so unnecessarily complicated. What’s this ‘voucher’ thing where people get a discount in a restaurant up to 50% so long as it isn’t above 10 Pounds? Huh? Who is going to administer such a thing? Why didn’t he just cut VAT to zero effectively giving everyone a 20% reduction? Why this highly complex voucher thing? What nonsense.
And I’m fed up with the Boris buffoon. When he was Lord Mayor his fluffed up hair and ‘jokey’ demeanor were seen as a bit of fun. But now tens of thousands of Brits are dying and still all he seems to care about is fluffing up his hair. How disrespectful can a person get? He obviously cares nothing about the British people – he only cares about his image as a clown. People are going to get fed up with him pretty quickly.

July 10, 2020 at 05:49 #32484Two more people have died of the coronavirus here in Korea, bringing the total number of deaths to ….. 287.
Yes, out of a population of 60 million (same as UK) we’ve had only 287 deaths.
Yet the UK has had 40 – 50,000 deaths.
Everyone in Korea wears a mask, including our President.
In the UK the government still ‘doesn’t know’ whether masks are effective and no-one in the government wears one. Nicola Sturgeon is the exception.
Watching all the world news, my opinion is that the UK Government has been (and still is) incompetent and ineffective, and the UKs management of this crisis is amongst the worst in the world.

July 10, 2020 at 14:50 #32488WOw although I have caught up with the charts, you do not get the “feel” for the market like that.
I just experienced that 14 point WCB. Seems like the market is still at the same nonsensical point it was when I left.
Plan your trade, trade your plan!
July 10, 2020 at 16:43 #32489Oh dear, I see the markets are exactly where they were when I left. Find a low and then grind SU.
