Moved the stop too quickly … +10pts only.

July 8, 2020 at 05:11 #32461NASDAQ 100: NDX touched another new high. The move upwards from the virus low is clearly some sort of impulsive five wave thing, but I’m afraid there are too many overlaps in the price action for me to be able to make any sensible accurate conclusions.
My only observation is that NDX has reached (and slightly exceeded, but only marginally) the point where 3 = 1*2.618 (see chart).
There is divergence in the RSI and MACD which *might* be suggesting some sort of short term top.
I’ll have a look at the COMP to see if the pattern is more obvious.

Agree … could be a run at 3200 … to trap some.
Never give up, never surrender.
July 8, 2020 at 13:36 #32465Wow … hats off to the chancellor as he announces a basket
of measures aimed at trying to avoid huge unemployment.I would need time to read what this could do for England.
In general people will want to return to their ways and
spend their money. They need to have money to spend and
they need to feel safe outdoors spending it.We ‘could’ see a ‘V’ shaped recovery and the same kind
of shape for stock markets. The ‘could’ involves many unknowns.
Never give up, never surrender.
July 8, 2020 at 19:43 #32466I think we’re going to see a big move in crookshour,im just leaning towards up as it stands but only about 60/40.choppy day so far.
July 8, 2020 at 19:44 #32467The task is huge and I wonder if £320bn of borrowing this year
will spook some in Whitehall, if the results don’t come by
the end of 2020.Never give up, never surrender.
July 8, 2020 at 19:47 #32468I said on kpad that at some point we would see a
“Go Out and Spend” banner.
Final sign of panic would be “it’s your civic duty”
to “Go Out and Spend”Never give up, never surrender.
July 9, 2020 at 07:15 #32469The run at Spx 3200 … could have failed or perhaps one more go.
Either way I am ready to short stocks.
Never give up, never surrender.

US tech bubble should help propel this higher

July 9, 2020 at 15:51 #32471This week my 2020 project Bull/Bear rated BBCCC
Ftse has ranged 6300 to 6100 ( could be less ) and
that echos the bullish to bearish trend.I’ve made my money and will take a few days off.
Never give up, never surrender.

I have to consider options for my work and until that
consultation is complete, I can no longer post here.Never give up, never surrender.
July 9, 2020 at 20:15 #32473DOLLAR: the dollar appears to have a problem. After the virus sudden spike upwards it has declined just as fast. Now the 200 day average is falling, and the 50 day has crossed it forming a ‘dead cross’. This of course is a negative signal.
It the short term the dollar *may* have completed an abc down and might consolidate or rise a little to form a ‘b’ wave. But overall the chart looks negative.
Perhaps the trillions in printed money is creating oversupply and debasing the dollar.
