I was trying to figure that too, perhaps (I don’t k kw as I don’t watch currencies) it makes dollar stronger ? Or it means less chance of it heir financial system collapsing (in the short term) or maybe its juts something as smoke as WTF and all bids and offers get pulled and the first one hit is an offer 10 s&p point higher, lol

Painting it as restoring confidence in the system…lol. Wait Til the market tests that confidence, which it will.

Paps…. Greenspan was a rate CUT on Jan 3rd 2001. I remember it very well as I was very short. Dow surged hundreds of points (600 I think). Thankfully it reversed most of it in next day or two lol….

Yikes….I remember days like that, when I open a position now I always think what would happen if it suddenly went against me 500/50 points, think I’ve only seen it once in the last year, was it late last December (2012) globex overnight when they didn’t approve some package and the s&p dropped 50, but it think it recovered most of it by RTH.

Yes I feel they manipulated things so we get less of all that, but who knows. Paps says there are no crooks :p

Ark….do you have the msn chat still of when plane hit twin towers?  That was one mad conversation.

Anyhow, I am polloxed. Off to bed. Good night all!

Ftse being cranked up as is Dax inline with US surge.

Ben’s last FMOC tonight and with duff data and stocks
falling, maybe bets are no $10bn taper this month.

I don’t trade Fed days until we get the news and so
it’s no trades open, relaxing day for me.

Spot on Cimac, we are on the same script.

What a total “confusion” close. Ie, its closed near resistance. So its a big move tomorrow imo, which ties in with FED. KTB triggers.

That was the last post yesterday. Then came the news just after close with the Turkish Interest rates. How crooked is that!

I am tempted to short but ahead of the FED, I feel its a total gamble.

                    FTSE/DAX/IBEX strong as it stands.

Plan your trade, trade your plan!

                      Right on ‘K’.

Look at the swings the Ftse has taken since tuesday close
and we still have many hours before the FMOC news.

Market swings both ways and takes out bull and bear
stops by the looks of it. Bit of a turkey shoot.

So…that worked out well then eh? LOL… Too many of those emergency measures just don’t work..don’t they ever learn from the Japan experience? I wonder how the mood of the Turkish locals will be if those higher interest rates start to filter down and affect their lives?

Yep, in the real world there is no recovery in sight.

Goodbye Ben you will be tainted as Greenie was / is.
