I don’t think anyone knows whats really going on with QE or
how it can be safely unwound.

We do know a couple of things.

The richer you are the more you have to lose and to fear.

Bullshit baffles brains, which is always very dangerous.

      Never give up, never surrender.

Ftse would look better if we are in a 4th down with a 5th up
to come to complete a rather odd pattern compared with most
of the major stock markets.

We should get the answer quite soon because it would not be
a large time or price move, for the 5th that is, all imho.

I will wait and see what happens today and maybe even be on
the sidelines monday aswell.

Just to give the bearish case … 5th waves can truncate and cause most
traders to be caught off guard.

        Never give up, never surrender.

True – they can also extend beyond belief and catch traders off guard.

            Very true.

The problem atm is we are still in holiday markets and we will
get a better idea next week which of these moves are for real
when most are back behind their desks.

The UK high street has had a mixed Christmas.

I find hard to understand that even the best performers do not
want to put fresh money into their business, they would rather
return money to shareholders via buy backs and dividends.

Good for shareholders but what does that tell us about the real
world outlook for the high street.

From the Ftse close on friday it looks a tough call
as to higher or lower. In ooh it went higher but to
me a lower move first is the play even though that
                ooh friday says higher.

When it gets this tight a wait and see maybe best ?

Any body think this is putting in a short term bottom for a ramp back up to the 1850’s, or higher?

                          Copper & Light Crude @ Fri 3 Jan 14

Since its early 2011 all-time-high copper has traced out what counts well as A and B of a potential A-B-C corrective pattern; light crude sports the same pattern. See the WEEKLY charts.

If C waves are in play here, the 1st and 2nd waves shown on the charts project bottoming targets as follows:

                          US 146 cents per pound for copper (56% below today’s close);
US$61 per barrel for light crude (35% below today’s close).

Note that C waves always comprise 5 sub-waves; the three advancing elements (1,3 & 5) typically relate to each other in the ratio 100:162:100.

wow..back down to 61 bucks in oil….now that WOULD be something WND.

I think the general consensus is for falls from here, but not many will be calling for a fall as bold as that…mind u, how did the supposed “experts” get on with their gold forecasts in 2013 again ? ….LOL)

Ftse bulls can’t break up into a 5th so maybe more
down first, into silly inaccurate US jobs on friday.

                              Let’s trade with care.

                                Got some downside as expected.

Now we are into BoE and EcB rate news today and NFP friday.

It’s always possible EcB will talk qe.
