My girlfriend bet me the Dow would hit 17880 today.
I have to go now and cook and clean and most likely
do other stuff that I can not post here !!!Never give up, never surrender.
February 10, 2015 at 21:00 #11914My Dax short at 10800 may be a good entry as I have no other trades
to weaken my margin, so I think this can run for quite a while πNever give up, never surrender.

you are after the 9 o clock watershed now
February 10, 2015 at 22:02 #11917Sad to say that news of Ukraine and Greek ‘deals’
will only prove to be just another illusion πNever give up, never surrender.
February 10, 2015 at 22:11 #11918Looking at Ftse Dax Dow etc …. from ‘here’ it is hard to
see anything other than another low into the weekend.Never give up, never surrender.
February 10, 2015 at 22:34 #11919Some of the comments I have been reading re the Greek
debt talks are just out of this world.
I just cannot see a deal unless we wake up one morning
and find that white is black and black is white.Never give up, never surrender.
February 11, 2015 at 08:25 #11920Earlier I cashed in the Dax short.
Now have a small Ftse short at 6825 just as a marker.
Bearing in mind we are very near US highs and not that far
off Ftse and Dax highs, that question again, we will won’t
we make new aths. Until we get the answer it’s a risk to
overdue trade sizes etc. For Ftse if I am short then I
calculate a stop jump to 7200 and make sure that my
account is prepared for such an event.Never give up, never surrender.
February 11, 2015 at 08:40 #11921May I ask what sites people use for their news feeds ?
I use this one for data releases,
http://www.fxstreet.com/economic-calendar/
just wondered for example if there is a market spike which site/feed do you go to to see what caused it, I look around, but am not subscribed to any real time ones.
February 11, 2015 at 08:47 #11922I wonder where oil is headed, read an interesting article this morning from barons about it and how it thinks that stops/margin calls could run it down to $20 very quickly, I can actually see that happening if the recent low gets taken out, the $44 level must have a few long stops just below it down to maybe the magical round number of $40, perhaps that would cause the capitulation spike/hammer type bottom……

ha ha, what a great way to make trading more exciting……
February 11, 2015 at 08:53 #11924This s&p tripple top thing, would be very typical if they drove to up a bit more and then dropped it like a stone, a proper head fake….. Of course classic TA might say nice resistance gone it will fly, but then there is ranges and cyclical indicators……
February 11, 2015 at 09:52 #11925Hi Ark … I read the FXCM market news and BBC general news.
Ftse chart could be ‘A’ down from Sept 2014 high to Oct 2014 low.
Now we are in ‘B’ up currently in ‘c’ of it’s ‘abc’.
With ‘C’ down to come, which should exceed 6025 zone.
If the downside unfolded like this then in time the ‘ABC’ could
or may be renumbered as 1 2 3 if the 4 and 5 appeared. This scenario does not give much room for upside but could be
enough for a Ftse ath but better to revist the chart later.Never give up, never surrender.
February 11, 2015 at 10:01 #11926Re the triple top debate.
It’s possible to have rounded tops where many of the
waves or moves look like multiple highs.Truncated waves or moves which can only really be
seen after the event. Some wavers think we are in a 4th wave and if so
then they are the hardest to trade and can form
some of the strangest patterns.Never give up, never surrender.
February 11, 2015 at 10:27 #11927Another scenario I like for the Ftse is that we go down
to revisit the 6000 zone to form an ABC flat and then
move up to ath maybe at the Bradley on 9th June 2015.Then we really go down π
Timing wise we would need to start down any day now
to fit in the drop and rally in this scenario.Never give up, never surrender.
February 11, 2015 at 11:46 #11928Hi Ark β¦ I read the FXCM market news and BBC general news. Ftse chart could be βAβ down from Sept 2014 high to Oct 2014 low. Now we are in βBβ up currently in βcβ of itβs βabcβ. With βCβ down to come, which should exceed 6025 zone. If the downside unfolded like this then in time the βABCβ could or may be renumbered as 1 2 3 if the 4 and 5 appeared. This scenario does not give much room for upside but could be enough for a Ftse ath but better to revist the chart later.
That count is rather out of proportion time wise cimac. one month for the A and then four months and counting for the B ?? Β I would expect time to be a bit closer than that
