These markets are not normal by most measures and so require,
their own kind of day trading plan.I am partly standing back to keep my February profit which
was very good and how I made a profit at all is a puzzle
given the markets atm.I want to spend a few days looking at how I trade and
see which method works best against crooked markets.Never give up, never surrender.
February 26, 2015 at 16:05 #12185We have five inside daily candles on the Ftse and so I have taken
to only using entry orders to cover upside and downside !The mustards are not getting their sticky fingers on my profits !
Never give up, never surrender.
February 26, 2015 at 16:36 #12186Very small Dax short 11323 with a target of 8573 š
Risk due to trade size is very small whilst allowing
me to test out new trading methods, fwiw.I will be away for an extended weekend, wine and
dine, here I come.Back monday.
Never give up, never surrender.
February 26, 2015 at 16:51 #12188good luck with that cimac . sticking to longs only in Europe , given the likely flows.
Won’t be surprised if the dax eventually prints 13,xxx. Just need another dip to get in again.

re my other post. It is all very well loading financial firms with cash to buy stocks. When said stocks or companies rather are seeing slowing or declining profits a point will arrive where stocks will be at daft insane valuations compared to earnings. Of course it can persist for a bit like with Nasdaq in 2000, but ultimately there is only one remedy. Say caterpillar were on x120 earnings…..and earnings not forecast to grow particularly strongly….
Today, unlike Nasdaq I feel the rise is not retail folk at all. Average Jo can’t afford to load into stocks now (which in itself says a lot). It is mainly the massive finance houses pumping qe in. So it’s a weird sort of bubble if you want to call it that.
13k dax baaa. Crazy to think but anything possible in this qe world we live in….. I know I am uber bear, but central banks dropping the ball as Swiss Central Bank did suggest trouble. It was interesting to note the high in gold of 1900 something was the same day the Swiss originally instigated the ‘peg’ to the euro. Coincidence? I think not. Many think the SNB were instrumental in shorting the precious metal market with paper contracts. Guess we’ll never know but something spooked em.
February 26, 2015 at 18:00 #12190I think far more goes on behind the scenes than you could ever imagine .
The recent Swiss peg removal was deemed to be a fiasco , but I suspect it was well thought out and agreed with the ECB well in advance .
Why ? Well I don’t think it’s coincidence that one of the largest holders of EU bonds are the Swiss . Hence , the Swiss agree to drop the peg , providing they can sell their bonds back to the ECB . The hundreds of millions lost on the peg are miraculously replaced by the profits made on the bonds .
The Swiss win , as they don’t lose a cent and the peg is gone . The ECB win , as they don’t wantĀ the peg and they get to initiate QE , without worrying about who is going to sell them the bonds – after all most banks won’t as they get cash in return yielding less than zero . The whole QE thing in Europe will be an illusion , but not before the DAX has got to 13,xxx -lol
Anyway , you’ll be pleased to hear I’ve gone long gold over the last few days . As long as 1180 holds , it looks interesting…
February 26, 2015 at 18:12 #12192Yep, behind the scenes, God knows what goes on. Only 48hrs prior to them pulling the peg they said they were keeping it. Bloody crooks.
Gold…. Sometimes I wish it’d just go mad right away and at times I am happy it is staying ‘low’ so I have time to make more money elsewhere and buy more… Lol
buy for the Asian session. Sell for COMEX session. Apparently the stats on this are shall we say suggestive of manipulation. Also suggests the Asians have the gold Hoover out.
February 26, 2015 at 19:09 #12195Closed the Dax short on the dip in ooh, not sure what
that was all about but it came in handy.I now have no trades open or entry orders in place
and will start again on monday.Never give up, never surrender.
February 26, 2015 at 20:08 #12199Seeing that US weakness I better cover the Ftse downside
as I am away from the screens tomorrow.Small short Ftse 6935
Never give up, never surrender.
