Saving this year’s Santa Rally may be helped by two events
      either side of the pond.

US House of Representatives passed a $1.1tn budget.

EcB must be very close to announcing their qe plans.

ditched my 2020 and my 2040 shorts . hanging on to the 2070 entries  and looking for a rally later today to maybe add some back.

next week might be a bit volatile, so good to lighten up

I am going to take this morning’s tiny profit, which is about
one hours pay(for the low paid), which took me 90 minutes
to earn, and walk away until monday morning.

          Good luck guys.
I see some of you have been doing really well and that is
always worth a kpad cheer 🙂
          Back monday.

RTH open is carbon copy of yesterday , interesting to see if it slams another +10 too…… tempting to think the other way now the gap has closed (kind off)… (except on the dow)

Some will think the bull market remains intact unless the Oct lows
are breached and you can see why they think that.

At this rate of decline we could be testing that zone for quad oe.

Not sure I would have made enough right calls today so for me
taking time off was the right move.

Great trading Baaa… took 70 percent of my shorts off too from the same sort of entries except the 2070 I did not add higher as I was worried of a parabolic move..

Relatively the FTSE has been hammered much more than S&P and DAX, the latter two are still nowhere near Oct  lows whereas FTSE could hit it on Mon or Tues at current rate of decline. FTSE selling is relentless.

                    Greece has busted October lows.

ftse approaching them as you say Paps.

Spoos meanwhile is 190 points above. I am remaining short.

Just watched a Jim Rickards report. Suggesting the first part of the US economic collapse and 25 year depression will be a sudden instantaneous 70% stock market crash. I had it happening over about 18 months but if it can happen in a few days that’s fine with me so long as they don’t confiscate my spread bet account…..

We do not want a huge crash because stock markets may freeze
due to being overloaded or find some reason not to open.

Spread bet accounts would follow suit and any which did not
run their business in a proper way may never open again.

We all dream of the trade which just rockets in our favour
but the best markets are ones which rise and fall in a
                      nice regular cycle, imho.

My only position is a small short on eur:gbp which is based
on the better outlook for rate hikes in the UK even though
these are not likely for 12 months. Plus it does look like
the UK has a more realistic chance of a recovery although
here it is some way off. On the flip side I think the risk of
surprise economic problems is firmly with euroland.
Last of all it’s the odds we get EcB qe details that will
weaken the euro for quite sometime.

On the debate about a high or low quad oe I think we
look no further than monday and a gap at the open.

As the Santa Rally only has to cover the holidays
we still have plenty of time for that without a
clue from what level it may start.

Get plenty of rest this weekend 😉

                              Absolutely Ark…

the dislocation is very curious. Spoos should be 1800 if it ‘catches up’.

                              Look at http://www.zerohedge.com

They been going on about it, well both bonds as well as credit markets. These markets dwarf the stock markets so who knows….

I wonder if the oil crash has knocked into the credit markets? No idea but when markets move fast then unexpected things happen…

It may take a while but we need to get back to a world,
talking mainly about the west, where we have interest
rates and rates of inflation which match the post
                                industrial revolution norms.

Dow was hit hard into the close on friday and so we should
get a good indication of where we are at the open monday.

Bulls have enjoyed the pairing of up friday = up monday
more times than not for quite a few years now. If the
bears are in charge then we gap down hard monday.

                                  Never give up, never surrender.
