Ftse 7090 rejected.
In a normal market that could be seen as the expected ‘h’ in
already but these are far from normal times, so we take it
step by step with stops.Never give up, never surrender.
April 22, 2015 at 11:36 #13292Dow ooh has been +75pts and -75pts as it was under the
influence of the early euroland pop and drop.I wonder if rth will be fair and treat bulls and bears in
equal measure 🙂Never give up, never surrender.
April 22, 2015 at 14:00 #13293Just been told that someone I know is long the Dow from
today’s ooh low, will close and reverse short at 18025Fair play to them.
I would not like to run a US long much past the open
if and only if it does repeat the euroland action.Stops are a must whatever you do.
Never give up, never surrender.
April 22, 2015 at 14:50 #13294Just been told that someone I know is long the Dow from
today’s ooh low, will close and reverse short at 18025Phew, they reversed soon after the open and have short stops on
the way down. I hate it when I think someone has risked their
money on my scribbles !Never give up, never surrender.
April 22, 2015 at 17:16 #13296I am flat now as the Ftse bounce took my trailing stop.
Not sure if playing the drop into the weekend, or the
rally into EOM, is the best play, assuming either or
none come to pass.If the US were to rally in it’s last hour, I may get
in on the short side again.Happy enough with today’s action.
Never give up, never surrender.
April 23, 2015 at 06:40 #13315I have a small short on the Cac which shows
that I am not just a Ftse guy 😉Bears need to take this market down now and
use this window before the bulls come back.On the Ftse a good attempt at 6800 is the
kind of target they should aim for.Never give up, never surrender.
April 23, 2015 at 08:31 #13317I have a small short on the Cac which shows
that I am not just a Ftse guy 😉Cac did a quicker drop than the Ftse so closed that
for a few pts and got back short on old faithful.Time to just let the market do it’s thing really.
Never give up, never surrender.
April 23, 2015 at 10:58 #13322Ftse dip buyers are back as per yesterday … grrr
I notice some have Dax to 11k and that would, time wise,
get the Ftse atleast near to 6800Ftse 6800 is on many radar’s as it’s logical support or
atleast a test of support. If we are in an ascending
triangle, target new ath’s, then the Ftse will find
support above 6800. So should we get down there,
it will indicate which pattern is still in play.Never give up, never surrender.
April 23, 2015 at 12:13 #13323Ftse short got stopped at b/e which leaves me flat.
The further we get into this bear window, without
downside progress, the more I may tend to stay
out and watch what happens. Then I will put
my efforts into EOM window.Never give up, never surrender.
April 23, 2015 at 12:39 #13324I am again short Ftse at 7030 with the stop now at b/e
and this is my last attempt this side of the weekend.I stay on alert for some Greek deal, even if at times
that has seemed almost impossible, as it could be
a trigger for a decent rally.Let’s see how we go.
Never give up, never surrender.
April 23, 2015 at 13:07 #13325I am again short Ftse at 7030 with the stop now at b/e
and this is my last attempt this side of the weekend.Stop hit so that’s me done as I cannot explain the time and
price of these moves, hence I have no right to be trading.Goodluck to all those still in.
Never give up, never surrender.
April 23, 2015 at 15:06 #13326Just noticed a minor pattern on the Ftse which
should complete in 7050 – 7075 very soon.Tempted to short a breakdown as it may fit in
with a minor US cit anytime now.If this does not work then the sky is blue
and I will take myself off out 🙂Never give up, never surrender.
April 23, 2015 at 15:36 #13327Took +10pts from my Ftse short and closed the book for today.
Each day the bears can’t hit Ftse 6800 increases the chances
that the bulls will hit 7200 first, imho.Never give up, never surrender.
April 23, 2015 at 17:08 #13328US stop run algos in action but they would have
to run upto s&p 2120 to do a proper job.Never give up, never surrender.
April 23, 2015 at 17:13 #13329In 5 out of last 6 years , we’ve seen a dip into the April expiry . In 4/5 of those the low came on the Monday after expiry , the 5th on the Friday of expiry week . The window for a high before that dip was 4th-14th April . Yesterday’s high came in on the 13th… Size of the dip is c 2.5-4.5% . An “average ” 3% would get us to the 2040 support level, the level targeted ( & failed) from last week. In the year this didn’t work, there was an early month dip of 4% which bottomed on the 11th. Largest high to low dip this month is less than 1% so far . either this is statistical nonsense or we have a 2-3% dip due in the next 5 sessions … I remain short & a tad u/water.
got a 2% dip and closed two thirds of my shorts on Friday. If we rally into tomorrow , I shall prob add them back…have a cit due Friday/Monday fwiw
added shorts back at 2109 – wrong much above 2112
took 12 pts from a quarter position. stop on the rest at 2114, to lock some in . next few days should be interesting…
pulled my stop for now , as it feels like just a stop run. pleased I’ve banked along the way. thought the cit was a low , maybe a high -lol
