NFP numbers good initial reaction bad but that will
not pay Xmas bonus etc etc so a different view has
to be found …. crazy US markets.Never give up, never surrender.
Well Ftse 6450 & Dow 15800 & Cable 1.63 have so far held
and or been supportive.Let’s see what NFP reaction we get at 13:30 today.
Never give up, never surrender.
We could well see wider spreads around NFP friday and
that would be atleast US stocks and $ FX pairs. It may cause problems for those who use tight stops
as they would be easy meat, imho.Never give up, never surrender.
Atm they are flushing the Dow bulls but whilst Ftse holds
above 6450 the whole bull case is just asleep, imho.Still the markets are as stormy as some parts of the UK
so only go out to play if your brave or silly.Never give up, never surrender.
Ftse rising line is circa 6460 today for a pattern
which could have a run at the HOY zone. So let’s
call it a bull must hold 6450 this week else the
bears will have kidnapped Santa 😉Never give up, never surrender.
Today and tomorrow could well decide the fate
of the Santa rally. Ftse has held so far imho.Never give up, never surrender.
Ftse below the 6500 flat line and the rising
lower channel line which could provide some
support with a higher low etc.Could be a decent pop or drop and that is a
bit of a gamble, not one for me.Never give up, never surrender.
Thank you market.
That dip allowed me to cash in my Cable short and I will
now stand aside until the BoE – NFP windows.I have no interest in opening another Cable short unless
we are above 1.64 better still 1.65 etc.Never give up, never surrender.
Well done ‘K’
If Cable drops below 1.6383 then I may close in
the hope we get higher again into BoE – NFP.Never give up, never surrender.
Ftse 6500 and a rising line which today
would be circa 6450 seem critical if a
Santa rally is to be kept alive. It seems Fed QE taper this month is the
talking point. Numbers like NFP will be
seen as pointers one way or the other.Never give up, never surrender.
Stocks look to encourage bulls & bears today … I would
not want to risk much on the outcome really. It is all
very interesting from a charts point of view.Never give up, never surrender.
Good to hear you beat the flu ‘K’.
I took action lastnight and closed my two Cable
shorts for a combined b/e.Opened again at 1.6383 but this is a guard only
against a surprise drop as I expect we will go
into 1.64’s or more before this tops out.Never give up, never surrender.
Well we should take care here incase the bull comes
back into play again on tuesday for a run up into
the BoE – EcB – NFP on the thur / fri. This could
play for stocks and $ FX pairs, imho.Hence I will be taking out insurance re Cable a bit
later today, fwiw.Never give up, never surrender.
Atm we have a lot of vested interest keeping this bull run
alive into EOY for bonus payouts etc. Therefore it would
need quite a shock to prevent a ‘h’ Dec options expiry
and the Santa rally, imho.I plan to wait until 2014 before trading in size and it
would best suit me to short a decent top, fwiw. For now I keep my hand in with small trades in Cable.
Never give up, never surrender.
Half day in the US but the action we got is not bullish
unless it gets reversed a.s.a.p. monday by a big gap up.Ftse reversed in a bearish fashion.
Now don’t any of you go flying your private jets out in
the East China sea this weekend.Never give up, never surrender.
