If the Ftse OE boyz wanted a high tick then US futures have
done the heavy lifting for them.Let’s see what level Ftse is 10:15 – 10:30
Never give up, never surrender.
April 17, 2020 at 08:27 #30235This is behaving far more bullish this morning than it should be.
French CAC is up 3.4%, that’s completely nonsensical.

April 17, 2020 at 08:36 #30236I’ll go with zarif on the S4L lean.
Ftse spill up then drop into pt8
Then we see where they want OE to print.
Never give up, never surrender.

That makes more sense, that was far too bullish a start, made no sense, now corrected.

April 17, 2020 at 08:44 #30238Short Cac 4501.4

April 17, 2020 at 09:05 #30239Bears need to be very careful here. If we are in wave iii of 3 (which we might not be of course) then 3,100/200 can be reached quite quickly. I don’t have a position, and I certainly wouldn’t want to be short unless/until something happens to negate the ‘fives’ upwards count.
April 17, 2020 at 09:33 #30240I have alot of respect for you David and if you are saying this, then indeed Bears need to be careful.
Ofcourse anything is possible, but I regard last nights blow off as possibly a high of this move. But for that this needs to retrace today.

April 17, 2020 at 10:06 #30241So far euroland is a bit lukewarm.
Pop and drop until proven otherwise.
Classic S4L after spill up.
Has to be said that Dax futures did not really get on board
the overnight US futures train.US cash will be interesting
Never give up, never surrender.
April 17, 2020 at 10:08 #30242Now Ftse OE is next.
Never give up, never surrender.

I will watch CAC between 2:40- 3 pm . looking to short it in the 4540 region should it get there .

Well the old dog got up and wagged it’s tail
but could not retest the early hod.I think the US stocks are on their own now.
Weekend coming into view and I think euroland
traders would need ‘good’ news to buy’em.Never give up, never surrender.
April 17, 2020 at 13:22 #30245Certainly going to be interesting. Very recently SU has meant SU all day.
If we are in trend change phase then it can sell off.
We really do not knwo if the recent bull is over (cue Hatman) or if as I feel this is a bear snapback and we have already started the trend change.

April 17, 2020 at 13:33 #30246Grim forecast that the UK could end up with the highest
covid19 death toll in europe.Brave efforts by NHS and Carers and many other public
employees are unlikely to overturn the shambles that
this government have lumbered ordinary people with. When this is over a Public Inquiry could well be the
end of a few MP’s careers. Our NHS was the envy of many but spending cuts have
put lives at risk.Never give up, never surrender.
April 17, 2020 at 13:38 #30247Our NHS was the envy of many but spending cuts have put lives at risk.
Unfortunately that was many years ago. The NHS has deteriorated in the last few decades with constant budget cuts etc. In the last review 2015 Korea was voted the ‘best’ healthcare service in the world followed closely by Singapore. Britain came 37th way behind France, Spain and many ‘third world’ Countries. Shame.
April 17, 2020 at 13:42 #30248EURKRW: as might be expected, when the virus broke the run was to ‘risk off’ and the Korean Won plunged against most currencies. But, as you can see from the chart, the Won has basically tracked inverse of equity markets – dropping in the ‘crash’ but now recovering sharply as ‘risk on’ rally prevails.
I don’t have a definite pattern, but it *looks* like the Won wants to return to the starting point at EUR 1280 or so. If so, this suggests more ‘risk on’ and more upside for equities.
