Taking profits is always the right move as you can
rethink replan and reenter. Also I think it is a
good thing to see a start and end of each plan.Major stock markets are in strange place where
you can make a case for bull and bear which is
what day traders like best.Ftse is not falling at the rate needed to hit
my mid Oct 6000 retest, which is a worry but
as I have 100pts booked from 6900 I will be
short and see what happens nextweek.Never give up, never surrender.
September 15, 2014 at 08:05 #7585Same again re Ftse shorts, stop to 6800 and then reenter later if required.
FMOC and Scots vote, very risky for the most times quiet UK stock market.
Never give up, never surrender.
September 15, 2014 at 15:14 #7588Ftse 6800 is proving hard to trade and I will watch
into London close. Would prefer a rally now to get
a better short entry 6825-6850 would be nice 🙁Never give up, never surrender.
September 15, 2014 at 16:51 #7589Well if the NAS is the US leader then it’s pointing down.
Done for the day but will cover any Ftse downside with
a few limit orders.Never give up, never surrender.
September 15, 2014 at 17:00 #7590They pushed ftse back up to 6800 for the close but Spoos drifted a little lower.
as you say techs are dragging, so let’s hope they are leading.
We we need to start moving lower soon if we are to have your 6000 low in your October window. Unless we have a 1987 crash, which isn’t out of the question if you ask uber bear me, as this grind up has just gone on and on and on and on, with v little meaningful downside along the way. Of course there is limit down etc but equivalent is possible. The crooks would probably close the exchange, enforce force majeure and void your bets…..lol
I wonder if somehow, they’ll blame it all on Scotland lmao.
September 15, 2014 at 17:06 #7591In the last hour ftse added 20 odd handles
spoos meanwhile lost about 5 handles.
is ftse foretelling a Spoos recovery later, or is the ftse a gift of a short?
there again they are different indices, but they usually operate reasonably in tandem.
September 15, 2014 at 18:49 #7598US futures were well down lastnight with spoos the worst hit
but now the NAS has out done them all in rth. I think we
may see a push higher and then a down day tuesday.
After that we are too near FMOC and EcB ltro and Scots vote
which many may stay flat and only trade each reaction.Never give up, never surrender.
September 15, 2014 at 18:51 #7599Its quad (crooks) expiry this Friday also Cim.
That is a bigger mover than the rest combined.
I saw Merlins chart earlier. What a shocker!

Plan your trade, trade your plan!
September 15, 2014 at 18:54 #7601Cheers ‘K’
Never give up, never surrender.
September 15, 2014 at 19:03 #7602‘K’ looking at last thursday there was a late push up
in the US which could set this quad OE as a downer.Never give up, never surrender.
September 15, 2014 at 19:05 #7603Spot on Cimac.
Either way, it has to be a lower high relative to the recent high otherwise this thing is heading to 2040 next.
Personally I want to see sub 1900 soon
Plan your trade, trade your plan!
September 15, 2014 at 19:32 #7604About 1,300 troops from 15 countries – including the US
and other Nato members – have begun a military exercise
near Lviv in western Ukraine. source BBC.They say it was already agreed before the fighting in
eastern Ukraine started.Reports that some Nato members are supplying arms
to Ukraine. No sign of this conflit calming down as both of
the waring parties have big friends now !Never give up, never surrender.
September 15, 2014 at 19:36 #7606US rth is pushing the Ftse ooh higher as expected but
it remains to be seen if we get the other bit right and
see a down day tuesday.Never give up, never surrender.
September 15, 2014 at 20:24 #7609Hi all
Cimac, I like your comment earlier re closing a plan. As I said, closed all my shorts on Friday to wait.
Sod’s law is it drops without me, but risk of higher seems greater and saps my enthusiasm !
US is still On steroids and spx went up 7 pips in about 25 mins around 7pm. Quick ramps like that say there are still buyers or supporters out there.
It would not surprise me at all to see this rise into OEX above 2000 again. If it does, I’ll be loading up again and FTSE/Dax also.
Should be down, but recent months show others have different ideas.
For those interested , check out BBC2 at 9pm. ‘Millions by the minute’ about hedge find traders in london, New York etc. looks interesting.
September 15, 2014 at 20:49 #7610Hi Billy.
I have seen some of that series, worth watching but
why don’t they just get a regular job 😉Never give up, never surrender.
