August has started with main stock markets giving
the bears a chance to earn some profits.Never give up, never surrender.
August 2, 2014 at 07:24 #6969From a trading point of view, having stocks off
their recent highs is good, as it gives charts a
more balanced view as we see two way moves.Trading a market going up up or down down is
not the best for indicators, they tend to work
best when a market is in the middle.Never give up, never surrender.
August 2, 2014 at 10:49 #6970This thursday we have BoE and EcB rate news and press conference etc.
BoE is likely to play on GBP but not really much on the Ftse.
EcB is likely to play on EUR but as it is just one meeting away
from the Sept meeting at which qe type action is very much
on the cards, we have to take extra care.Expect more press coverage and pressure, even from Germany
on the EcB is announce something, perhaps multi trillion euro
to try and stave off deflation and Russian sanctions and
counter sanctions.I don’t think qe really works but it’s the biggest threat to the
bears in August and September. All imho.
Never give up, never surrender.
August 2, 2014 at 18:54 #6971I have thought for sometime that the Ftse will test three major
points 6000 7200 3500 and odds favour it will be in that order.Currently Ftse is just below 6700 and a low risk plan could
be set in motion using a small trade size. If the first is hit
then profits are there to cover the next target etc.I have to spend sometime away from the kpad as I need to
work on my business plan due to launch in January 2015.
I am sure I have mentioned before that the trading plan
will use Short Term Delta with many extentions to that
first brought to the kpad by tepid ( Bill Blount ).Never give up, never surrender.
August 7, 2014 at 18:06 #7036I am happy because the Dax is testing 9000 and Ftse
is +100pts below 6700 … we mentioned this earlier. Now markets fall faster than they rise but when a
falling market bounces, it does so in a sharp sort
of way which can be very hard to catch. So take
great care when running shorts atm.I am also busy, so catch you sometime.
Never give up, never surrender.
August 8, 2014 at 08:55 #7084closed shorts from 1985 and reversed 50% long ES & the Dax .
should rally today , if we don’t crash …lol
August 8, 2014 at 08:57 #7086IF we do a ‘proper’ break of Ftse 6500 – Dax 8900 then
that will cause a mini panic sell, imho.I expect the market will try and trap bulls and bears
around those levels, with fake moves.I am happy with this drop atm and am more concerned
about protecting profit, than making more profit.Take care.
Never give up, never surrender.
August 8, 2014 at 10:29 #7089I am now flat as this friday – monday window does look like
it could be a cit (of unknown importance) inline with the
full moon on sunday. As these moon events are +/- 2 days
and that would be trading days to be on the safe side,
we are in that window now.To have trades open over the weekend seems to me more of
a gamble than the kind of trading that ‘K’ likes here.I will try and get back here next week.
Never give up, never surrender.
August 8, 2014 at 12:48 #7091closed shorts from 1985 and reversed 50% long ES & the Dax . should rally today , if we don’t crash …lol
closed 50% of each long , stops at o/night lows on the rest for a free ride…
August 8, 2014 at 13:05 #7092Well done baaa
I notice the US ooh quotes are well off their lows
so someone got it right and someone got in wrong.Never give up, never surrender.
August 8, 2014 at 15:50 #70936000 next week Cimac :p
August 8, 2014 at 16:16 #70956000 next week Cimac :p
No, we have not tested or broken 6500 yet which is a
marker point on the route down.As I have closed shorts. I would like a good bounce
to offer another short entry.I think kpad members may well have had a good week
so that’s something to take into the weekend 🙂Never give up, never surrender.
August 8, 2014 at 16:30 #7096If the US bears took care with running their shorts, using
trailing stops etc, then they have made good profits today.Bulls may have had their stops taken out in ooh before we
even got started in rth.As for the US close and monday open, that’s a mystery to
me and hence I will let others play it.Never give up, never surrender.
August 9, 2014 at 09:24 #7115Ftse 6000 7200 3500 are still my main levels, in that order.
Last time I mentioned this we were at 6700 so shorting it
gave over 150pts profit as a buffer incase the route down
my levels is irratic.Next I would phase back into shorts in this bounce as we
don’t know how high it will go. Positive friday often
gives a positive monday but the test for bulls is to
take tue-wed-thu-fri and that is not a given, imho.I am away next week. Take care and watch for signs
of panic because we have not seen that in these
markets for five years and when it appears it
is likely to be all the more severe, imho.Never give up, never surrender.
August 11, 2014 at 09:07 #7119Positive friday leads into positive start for monday.
OE this friday.
Tuesday should be interesting as by then the bulls
may have worn themselves out.Let’s see.
Never give up, never surrender.
