Short 3210.4 on SPX for the gap fill idea

June 8, 2020 at 15:53 #31867Best I had was 15 points. I had limits for 20 points.
Then a WCB came out of nowhere.
It remains very perky

June 8, 2020 at 16:48 #31868I spent a weekend on the Thames with some work mates.
We got to Henley, heaven knows how, as it was a very wet ship !
Never give up, never surrender.
June 8, 2020 at 18:23 #31869Again we are not going down whatsoever, even after a +76 ES day on Friday.
We did not even manage a gap fill.
For now it still does not want to go down.

June 8, 2020 at 19:14 #31870When I look at the chart I and I see that spike on SPX at 6.30pm, that is what makes it so dangerous for shorters.
It started down and suddenly reversed up with a WCB.
Not to fill the gap today has really surprised me.

June 8, 2020 at 19:29 #31871What fundamentals?
Trump is obsessed with the stockmarket and it seems he wants it at a high for his election.
P/E ratios are the highest since 2000.
It all means nothing anymore.

June 8, 2020 at 19:31 #31872This lean looks more like s4l,which incredibly..could mean another grind up higher s1h tomorrow..barring a break in the futures market, which hasnt been the best of friends to bears lately.

Oh dear.
This zoom, grind, zoom market is just horrible Houd. Quite annoyed really as this is my final month before I venture out again, so really wanted it to be productive.

June 8, 2020 at 20:07 #31876Lets hope..we get some sort of normalisation this week k..its going to drop 100 handles in 24 hours someday soon, all indicators are mostly useless currently..where this drop comes from now is the question in hand
June 8, 2020 at 20:21 #31877Well we have the FED this week and also weekly jobless numbers on Thursday. Both are potentially market moving.
We should be at that stage of the cycle now where the sell “good news”.

June 8, 2020 at 20:24 #31878SPX: wave iii continues. Very strong, indicative of third wave action.
It looks like SPX wants to try for C=A at 3525. Yes, I know that sounds ridiculous.
In the shorter term there’s a potential 2.618 extension taking place. Likely a small 4th and 5th sequence is due, but I wouldn’t want to short it in case the 4th is sideways or ‘rising’.
There’s a potential target at 3277 for wave iii.
Notice the RSI is becoming extended and into ‘caution zone’.

June 8, 2020 at 20:50 #31881SPX: in the shorter term I can see an extended 2.618 rise for wave iii, still in progress.
However there is the potential for a small correction around this area (3216 or so, give or take) for a small 4th wave of some degree. I wouldn’t want to short it.

June 9, 2020 at 02:50 #31884Very appropriate, because of course Capt Nemo was UNDER the water…
