These mustards are capable of anything. Definitely after seeing this move, one has to be worried about a mad upmove into expiry.

I must say I never saw this FED move coming, but then you never do.

Ftse closed at 6064.70 … Ftse futs now 6142

If the Ftse were to gap up to where futs are now
that would be pretty bullish for the old dog !

          Never give up, never surrender.

In an absolutely ideal world we should close near to the unchanged figure. Short 3077.4

Would love to run for more, but DOW near unchanged on the day after being up 200 earlier.

Closed 3077.4 short at 3052.4 for 25 points.

For this OE week in recent years the stats are …

                Monday more up than down
                Friday more down than up

We may get a lot of large swings if most of
the book squaring is done before friday.

Options still close on friday but the option
writers may not be too bothered by then.

That’s fine too Chris. What I do not want is 5 days of up, su up, su grind up or sd followed by su up

                          Small short Ftse at 6200

A big potential gap up for the old dog and a
positional play vs the 6064.70 close monday.

I think I am quite happy to see this play out for now.

Up 170 points on ES from yesterdays spike low that came in globex is just plain silly. Then the FED announcement when we were near highs already makes it even more stupid.

To me, without the FED support this would be less than 2000 on SPX.

However FTSE here is a load of crap and I will have it at 6231

I would love to short GBP/USD also, but after yesterdays rubbish and my new underwaters, I just want to see what the game is for now.

When I look at it and study with a cool head, we should really go down today on ES.

                                We should fiull the gap.

We should print a good negative.

I think I heard somewhere that Fed J Powell is peaking today.

Ofocourse he will say “We will do whatever it takes” and he will say “Yesterday we started buying corporate bonds directly. We can increase that program at any time”

and guess what? The market will rally.

                                  aaaarrrggghhhh
