Right this is where things stand now for me.

I am fed up of this being stuck at 1745 to 1746.50 area, so have spooked for 3 points profit at 1745.

I am annoyed its spooked me out, but I like the 3 points

I feel its a mistake and will but 1742 is I can

I feel like I am talking to myself here today, so I will disappear off out shortly.

On that basis although I am thinking of buying 1742, I may give it a miss now and enjoy my evening

          Good luck all

Still here!! Longed the Dow last night – basis it’s been flatter than SP of late and still below mid sept high – SP already above those highs. Also smaller stake so limit poss loss! Worked out OK – sitting on +90 points. moved my stop to +50 and will prob just let it run. Have a nice evening

Great to hear guys. I am back!

I see my plan worked perfect and we have filled the gap now, shame they shook me out but with my style of running losers, I have to bank daily, otherwise Nigels way is very good of running a trailing stop.

SU level now 1746.50. We are there now. Its do or die time (immediate timescale wise)

When you get a min – “my style of running losers I have to daily bank” could you expand a little? Ta

Sure because I do not use strict stop losses and can run positions multi day or even multi month (and am), then I look at my overall pot.

No one can afford to run losers ad infinitum so what I do is make sure I bank points daily to fund the losers rather than having to put margin in.

Therefore I need to bank x points daily in this SU market to fund the running losers.

Hence putting a stop at breakeven cannot suit me if I have 3-5-7  points profit and I feel it is threatened.

As it happened today played out perfect and although I ran the overnight one, I was spooked out of the intraday long.

Even if I just longed the SU level posted just above at 1746.50, there would be 3 points again.

Today was all about longing the dips.
