Just for nerds and geeks …
Yesterday’s Ftse closing ath could still be bettered
as the old intra day ath is 7130 and ooh ath is 7135As with the US stocks I still think new Ftse aths
will come in 2017 but a risk of a decent drop in
the 1st qtr of 2017 looks the better trade.Never give up, never surrender.
December 30, 2016 at 12:26 #24846Yesterday’s Ftse closing ath could still be bettered
as the old intra day ath is 7130 and ooh ath is 7135Took advantage of that to close the 7115 in profit
and open higher, so I now have only …small short Ftse 7130
Well worth coming into the office.
Happy New Year to kpaders and bless you all.
Never give up, never surrender.

I would guess there are seven traders in all, including our host ‘K’.
Please keep flying here in 2017 vulture and you will meet the rest.

December 30, 2016 at 15:31 #24849This week’s action Ftse & Dax vs Dow & spx continues
to ask many questions. Can any moves in this very
low trader market stick next week when trading
desks are fully occupied again.I posted my ‘path’ for Dow & spx and must do the
maths for the Ftse this weekend.Never give up, never surrender.
December 30, 2016 at 15:39 #24850Big picture broad brush round numbers for the Dow
20000 down to 17000
17000 up to 20500
20500 down to 14000
14000 up to 22600Spx 2300 -> 1950 -> 2360 -> 1600 -> 2600
No money back … reader beware !
Just to remind myself and I will post in January 2017 thread
sometime on sunday.Never give up, never surrender.
December 30, 2016 at 16:08 #24851After a few failed shorts , I’m ss again and will hold over the holidays . stop above 2287. I can see negatives in the broad NYSE and the dt that formed there & nq is at best indecisive , but only needs to close 1% lower from here this week to turn the st trend down . Trannies looks weak too and may have lead as normal . 1% lower there would also give us a proper trend reversal. So maybe they spike the dow to 20K , but as long as spx doesn’t rally more than 20 pts , the broader indices look done to me and , even if I’m very wrong , the stops will cost me relatively little…. Until next year..HNY
taken off quite a few shorts this afternoon & will take off some more if we see a lower low on Tuesday which would make sense . Want to get them back on by mid Jan though…
HNY to the seven -lol
December 30, 2016 at 16:52 #24852Maybe a chart S&P will help a bit …

Ftse & Dax buyers vs Dow & spx sellers this week.
I can’t remember a week where the Dow drops 200pts
and the Ftse continues up.I don’t think we will have to wait for the answer
as it’s likely to come early in 2017.Never give up, never surrender.
