I have still got my 2182 … finger on button 😉

Worth remembering that if the algos want they could
force a lot of shorters out with a spike that could
      exceed the big round number.

Unless your have risk capital it is better to wait.

      Never give up, never surrender.

Hi baaa, long time no see, where yo bin?

Morning paps , still here , just tend to pop in when I see a decent set -up …..rare nowadays , which is probably just a lack of ideas …

Looking like this is the year of currencies and now thinking we get 3-4 months of $ strength and an equity dip to coincide ……

Nice to see a few old faces back ….maybe that means things are about to get more interesting?

I want to enjoy the rest of the summer and not
track the markets day by day.
So I am going to open a trade that will cover
the downside but with money I do not need,
with a stop that keeps the trade in play,
            unless the bull roars away.

            Small short spx 2180 – stop 2230 – limit 1907

In this low volume market the algos can push up
and force bears out, giving yet more up fuel.

Today Japs Aus and now Ftse Dax etc eating the
stops so expect US to do the same.

Only when the short stops are gone will it then
make the algo turn south for bull stops.

Take care, it looks more of a bet than a trade
and I want you guys here in September when
              my holiday is over 😉

              Never give up, never surrender.

                Closed at b/e.

Now I can relax on holiday and hope I do not regret closing.

Memsaab has a small short Dow 18524, small short spx 2182.57

No risk to me but if it works then a nice meal for two 😉

See you guys on 1st Sept.

Curious you mention the currencies baaa as I have been reading about China’s inclusion in the Special Drawing Rights ‘SDR’. If they are given a piece of pie obviously another currency loses some pie. This is due to take place in September/ October.

Wow, on the beach I get a text alert !

I had an entry order to short above 2192 and above 2214
which I did not expect until August OE.

So I have a small short spx 2192.17

                      Never give up, never surrender.

My patience has run out..in short at 2188 sep futs..unless volatility picks up,this punishing gap and grind nonsense will continue unabated.im not sure today will be “the” top,got some more intersting dates for the end of the month/first part of september, but i fully expect to close this out for a profit some time this week.in the unlikely event it falls off a cliff,i will try to hold on.

I think spx goes higher into OE after a drop today
and for now I will take my profit on the 2192

Looking at the spx reaction to the FMOC minutes etc
it appears friday’s OE is still the main focus.

If I was wanting to short Ftse Dax spx then I would
wait until late tonight or better still friday.
Just incase there is a trap, of sorts.
