This reminds me of the run up into 2000 when I was buying
tech stocks on the dips and selling for a profit and then
looking for the next potential riser.
No real value in the companies but they just ran higher
until they came to a grinding halt.

            Never give up, never surrender.

US markets are within range of big roundies .. Dow 18000 s&p 2100
and so we can expect the old undershoot -/- overshoot as traders
set their entries, exits and stops around the numbers.

                Never give up, never surrender.

Today’s ? … is euroland gap up and go or pop and drop.

For now my Dow short is all the risk I want this week.

As I do not want to risk anymore until we resolve this move or
pattern it seems like a waste of time to remain at my screen.

Trade running and stop in place so let the market decide.

Had a good half day away from the screen and
plan to do the same wed thur fri.

All my counts for the Dow, even the new ath target 19000 etc
have to included some kind of multi 100pt drop first.
It is possible to make a DT or a marginal new high with no
drop first but I doubt it.

My Dow short can only go wrong if we get the bigun with no
decent drop first and that’s low odds, imho.

                          Never give up, never surrender.

Closed for a small profit early doors and expect
to get a better entry at some point in US rth.

Odds favour the Dow gaps down and dip buyers
come in to lift it for a better short entry.

Shanghai gold exchange StartedΒ  19th April

On 4/19, the new Chinese Yuan is supposed to hit the market as a secondary world reserve currency. The Yuan is currently backed by Gold, in contrast to the US dollar which is backed by nothing, but the withering good faith of the US Government.

The Chinese are not allowing US Dollar exchanges for the Yuan, because they do not want moreΒ  worthless US dollars for their gold backed currency

However, the US currently has, on paper at least, 8 x the amount of gold reserves as China; 1054 tonnes vs 8133.5 tonnes.

Will this force the US to start a new currency which is backed by Gold for international trade in order to shore up the confidence in the US dollar, or are we watching the end of the US financial dominance because our do and good for nothing representatives are doing nothing about this situation they have known about for years.

New production of Gold are used by Chinese to pay their debts. What they pull out of the ground belongs to the government. In the US, what we pull out of the ground belongs to the corporations who do the pulling and does nothing for the country.

                                  ASX 200 @ Tue 19 Apr 16

Today the index took out the key March pivot high (labelled wave-ic). It also closed above the 200 day simple moving average (orange line) for the first time since August. See the DAILY chart.

The count projecting a 3720 bottom did not play out – the August sell-off had been counted incorrectly as a β€˜3’ rather than a β€˜5’. Wave-(C) instead traced out an ending diagonal that bottomed at 4706 in February.

If the count shown from that Feb low plays out, look for an A-B-C rally to top around 5800 (red horizontal).
