When I came back to kpad my view was that the Dow had spent most
of 2018 in a 4th wave down with a 5th wave and new ath to come.I still think that is correct because it’s not been proven wrong.
Have we gone low enough to complete 4th wave ?
Yes we have but it was not clear cut enough to be sure.
My line in the sand is Dow 25800 for my in 4th to in 5th switch.

Very late and then very very late friday I took a big risk to open
the following trades –Small short Dow at 25550 and 25575 .. stop 25800 .. target 24000
I would not have done this had I not have some profits banked
since my return. I will risk all those profits and half expect
to start 2019 with the trading pot I started with.This trading sequence will be my only focus for 2018.
Right or wrong I will learn and adapt.

Morning Cimac , Thanks for keeping the thread open and sharing ideas.
I find it very difficult to predict where this is going and only know basic Elliot wave.
I follow one person with an initial upside target of 2867 and then 3026 from the recent Thanksgiving day double bottom .
There seems to be a lot less corellation between the European and US markets of late. The FTSE just used to follow the US but has not really done much in the past few weeks.
So looking at FTSE for a but in to year end if it starts to show strength

Dow could be heading for yet another odd retrace point
between 0.618 and 1.0 and like last time, it’s tricky

Wow a big gap up … half expected really.
Futures have taken out stops above Dow 26000 sp500 2800
and Dax 11500 but Ftse stops above 7100 ok so far.Never give up, never surrender.
I was stopped at the 25800 station .. extended platform though.
I don’t want to go long at 26025 after such a gap up.
May as well build my new position and test this gap.
