Intraday wise …. I banked 5.25 points in spoos today.
I have 1 short in Ftse & 13 shorts in spoos and 2 swing positions open.
Onto today …

We have a KTS triggered at close on 19/09/13.
TODAY IS DAY4.SYSTEM BDIP
We have a BDIP triggered at close on 17/09/2013.
It is now negated after DAY4.DAY1… We got a low of -6.00.
DAY2… We got a low of -4.50.
DAY3… We got a low of -16.25.
DAY4… We got a low of -14.25.DDUD
We have a DDUD season triggered at close on 11/07/2013.
It is now negated after DAY2.SYSTEMS TRIGGERED
ESH2 NEXT DAY (KHC+3) USUALLY GIVES +3.
ESA7 (KHC+5)
ES13A (KHC+5)
SHOULD GIVE A +3/+5. GOOD CHANCE OF A POSITIVE CLOSE. CAN GIVE A GOOD NEGATIVE PRINT ALSO INTRADAY.SYSTEMSPXH1
CAN GIVE +3,+5,+7 WITH A POSITIVE CLOSE. THE CLUE IS NOT TRADING MUCH NEGATIVE RTHSpoos closed at 1692.50 (basis Dec)
K+3 = 1695.50
K -3 = 1689.50
Conclusion
We have 1 KHC+3 & 2 KHC+5 SYSTEMS in play.
We have a KTS DAY4 in play.

Again yesterday was a profitable day with 5.25 points banked on the overnight long. Sure it looked like I banked too early and it did go up more, but when it tanked in crookshour, it was a blessing I closed.
Although I identified resistance to sell at 1702/3 in the afternoon, it only got to 1701 to sell and then fell 10 points.
So what next?

The Levels
Support is at 1686/8 area. Below that it can go onto that 167x.x print.
Resistance is at 1693 and then 1697/8 and above that 1701/3. Above that the rally resumes.

Conclusion
Although I hate that late day sell off, with all the positive KHC’s again, it looks like another +3/+5 day and I will long for that if I get a good entry. Chances of a DDUD print also.
SYSTEMS indicate we gap up tomorrow and although ES may fill, SPX may not fill.
If it gaps down it should fill.

I still want nothing overnight when I am not carrying a position from intraday for a reason.
I will wait until the morning and play it when I can see it like yesterdays long.
Sure that means I may miss the trade, but best to be safe than sorry.

Long 1688.75 just now for the plan.
If all these SYSTEMS fail today then that for me will confirm TREND DOWN.

Further explanation … I longed as it hit support and also the COnclusion where I am expecting a down gap to fill and possible +3/+5 minimum and chance of DDUD.
On that basis I had to long.
I know that TREND could be DOWN but until confirmed I have to play the plan.
Once confirmed, it will be too late and this will be at a loss in which case 10 point auto stop will be hit or I will cancel stop and close manually as damage limitation at a loss or small profit.

Closed 1688.75 long at 1692.75 for 4 points. I wanted 5 points but it just missed that.
Overjoyed with the trade.
To be successful one needs to study, understand, plan, pull the trigger and close the trade without any greed.
Now to see if it rallies more or sells off (ala TREND DOWN)

Long at 1688.13. Just banked 4.5 points. was dithering until I read your last post which convinced me not to be greedy. In the back of my mind is the poss DDUD print. But will wait and see.
Nigel … See the difference between steaming in yesterday at close long or waiting for the opportunity to come to you. A long last night would be barely breaking even here. However we are now nearly 6 points higher than the morning lows here.
It required patience for THE LEVELS support to hit, but when it did there was no time for me to dither. I had to hit it.

Also impressed you have worked to understand linguo and now understand DDUD term. Good stuff.
The game we played was NO GREED. This was we banked something, better than risking losing money in this TREND UP? TREND DOWN? market.
When it was “perky” and “onwards and upwards” it was easy to long dips. Here and now we have to be careful as not sure of TREND.

As it moves to the 1696/8 support again now – will you long again? If not why enter earlier but not again now?

For me first time it has to bounce. However the more times it tests support, the more chance it can fail.
If TREND was clear up then yes I would keep on longing.
As I am not sure of TREND and bought it at support for a bounce only, I do not think I will long again.
