I am sticking to the same plan of crooksday up today and WNER Monday.

Shame that yesterday fell so much without being on board DAY WISE but no way was I goign to risk being DAY SHORT into the first day of trading in the new year.

Happy to continue standing aside until Monday

Reason for futures disparity: only 25 of 500 stocks traded 30 mins into trading. They sold index futures instead. Futures then traded at a discount to shares. Arbitrage would usually fill the gap, but the volatility was too great. Panic selling of futures caused the stock market to drop, which in turn induced further selling of futures. The head of The SEC thn said he was considering a trading halt and people hastened to sell while the market remained open.

Also volatility made it impossible to price stock options so the options market dried up.
